It’s a retelling but they mix it up enough to make it fun and spruce up the comedy with some really good musical numbers that give off an Aladdin/The Mask vibe. Is it a classic you will rewatch annually? Probably not. Is it a movie this year you can have a blast watching while putting up your tree? Absolutely. Rounded my score up from what would be a 7.5 to give it a little bump
An interesting movie nowadays that actually leaves you wanting more of each character and storyline. This is a must see movie for fans of horror and true crime
Tom Hanks just makes good movies. Middle stretches thin but the beginning and end make up for it. Man, beast, machine, artificial intelligence, and the universe. It’s the story of our time here, beautiful, sad, happy, terrifying, it’s all here.
This is a boring movie. The best thing about it are the visuals of cities under siege by rising ocean waters. Other than that by the time you wake up they will fill you in on what happened with a sportscenter like highlight show for a climax. Not worth your time
Could have been really good if it stuck to more horror and more odd but slowly gets cheesier and less interesting and ultimately loses its steam before reaching the destination. The first half is an 8 the second half is a 4. Do yourself a favor and stop at the thrift store
Feels like a movie filmed during a pandemic where a bunch of actors came together with a prized director because there was nothing else to do. The casting of A list actors to play two weasels in Detroit makes zero sense. At least in a movie like uncut gems Sandler felt like he could be that guy. The whole movie just feels forced and never reaches entertaining at any point. I was so bored that the sight of Matt Damon randomly was the most interesting thing that happened. John Hamm wearing a suit was more interesting than most of this movie.
Giant step down for the series. Boring and too long is not a recipe for a good movie. You feel disconnected from anything happening and the Warren's feel like strangers, it's very weird. I wish I had one of the things from men in black and I could erase this from my mind.
How is it confusing? It’s an all genre mix action blockbuster at heart. Matrix terminator bond mission impossible ring a bell? Watch this movie 3 times and you’ll understand it perfectly.
A great sequel and a great Christmas themed movie. Scrooge and evil Santa battle the unlikely duo of the cat and the bat. Tim burton caps off his caped crusader run with near perfect execution.
This along with Unforgiven are the two modern westerns that both reach outstanding heights. Kurt Russell deserves to be recognized for this work along with so many others
Fun interesting movie with some really good performances worth seeing. The two leading men didn’t add much or make the end game worth the prize so it is missing a little oomf in that department. I really enjoyed the music and the cinematography is beautiful
The first 30 mins is one story and one that might turn people off but the movie takes off and becomes a classic. Fans of The Revenant and Apocalypse Now should see this immediately.
This movie is average in every way. They squandered Woody Harrelson Dennis Quaid Mandy Moore and Patrick Wilson and used European actors doing weird accents playing Americans in an American WW2 movie. The CGI is iffy the acting is iffy the visual effects are decent but my take is there are better ways to learn about Midway.
A really sweet movie that touches on so many subjects in 90 minutes it’s too bad more movies can’t stick to this runtime. Great performances all around by the cast which is why you can relate to all the characters. Solid film.
Kind of a fun adventure movie with a mix of disaster movie vibes which is a blast if you don’t take it too seriously. Spader is entertaining as always and the score is pretty good too
This movie covers all the film genres as well as all the themes of our lives it is truly amazing although I could see it going over the heads of closed minded people.
Fun mystery comedy that is a little too predictable and not quite funny or charming enough to be great or a classic. Will simply go down as decent yet forgettable time worth viewing once or twice.
Well acted movie that shows there's more to war than just action scenes, it affects both sexes and all people in different ways. We start with parachuters on a mission unprepared for what they must do and what simple relationships will do to them. You never know what will strengthen you as a human and as a soldier.
The first half is captivating but the second half fails to keep the momentum. Cameron Diaz may have been in over her head in this one. Leo is solid and the supporting cast all works well. Daniel Day Lewis as the butcher is an epic performance that brings thoughts of Val Killer as Doc Holliday and is the real reason to return gain and again.
The perfect trilogy. One two and three are all great and are worth a rewatch during any holiday or day off. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen and the rest of the cast are so comforting they geet me every time
I used to watch this first every sick day growing up. An iconic film worth every rematch. Visionary in every way and perfect casting makes this a perfect 10
Still solid after all these years with some flaws alomg the way. Woody Buzz and Bo Peep all seem a little off in this one compared to their characters in the past but still this version was a lot of fun for someone who has grown up with these toys
Recycled music an under utilization of the lead actress, and excessive narration dog the movie. Overall its enjoyable when it is being serious or satirical but plodding with exposition. Christian Bale is a home run and worth watching if you're a fan.
Kinda gave me The Terminator vibes and it was intense almost throughout. Music and acting are solid. A few too many convenient plot holes to advance the story are a little silly and the final act takes a little long to deliver.
Put on headphones sit back and let your mind get blown. It takes two viewings to appreciate what this really is. I saw it at the theatre and wasn't sure but once I saw it again at home I realized this is a masterpiece.
Incredible. Bale and Pike are at the top of their game and everyone else is great in the time they get on screen. If you have patience this movie will reward you once the credits roll.
