the first part was just as unremarkable and the fact that the developers took a serious step and made a sequel is already a very bold step, but, unfortunately, not the most successful one. BUT, I liked the first part much more than Revolution. I remember there, but I didn't remember almost anything, only probably That's all, just one moment from the game, draw conclusions ... To buy - only at a very large discount, it is not worth a full price in any case. Pass - quickly, without any unnecessary captures and side quests, otherwise you will simply get tired, crazy.

Let's not hide the intrigue and not repeat in large numbers. The game is gorgeous, its most juice is the atmosphere. The post-Apocalypse in the realities of Russia is elegantly implemented: colorful characters (appearance, speech, behavior), atmospheric locations in different areas of the "vast", with different local characteristics. The crew of our train worked well, but they need time to reveal (at the beginning of their appearance was stunned, compared to the faceless Spartans and Ullman). BUT the whole game I did not let go of a certain feeling, as if something is missing. And so the end of the game and the city of Novosibirsk gave me what I wanted! The atmosphere of despair and severe lack of time, constant failures of weapons, dark tunnels, pressing their vaults, hallucinations and "mysticism", as well as terrible mutants (and I'm not talking about kikimor and ghouls, but really creatures that cause FEAR, it seems the feeling was in the first part). That spirit at the end really got to my bones, that's what I wanted most. Incredible experience!

i dont know if its just me, but i see people saying that the roster is good, but i think its garbage. what good does it make, putting one or two characters from 30 different shows? you see seya and shiryu, and you want at least the other two, right? i was very surprised with fly and yugi, but you cant even make a team with other guys from their manga/anime. its way more frustrating than appealing, imo. the fighting system and graphics are not the worst but neither are them really good. i dont know, i'm not really that fan of these japanese characters, but but i was expecting so much more from the game. oh, and the ""story mode" is just terrible, my god is it terrible.

The theme of the Moscow Metro is revealed beautifully. The game is very atmospheric, diverse in gameplay, dynamic skirmishes with bandits at the stations are replaced by dark "tangled" tunnels, along the way we get acquainted with the far from sweet life of people in the post-apocalyptic world. I now, not even about the constant attacks of mutated monsters on human settlements, but about a simple everyday life in which people live in a room consisting of one bed and only, and the children play with all sorts of rubbish or hammers. Each character at the station has his own story behind his soul, his own thoughts, feelings. Gameplay: I liked the attitude of the developers to the details. I really feel how they emphasized realism. The weapon is interesting and original, not very much, and you can only carry 3 small arms and 2 missile weapons with you, plus a knuckle-knife. There is no automatic reloading, if the last cartridge in the clip went into the barrel, wait for the misfire. Ammo is always small. Another interesting point is the powder smoke from the shot that obscures the view, which makes it difficult to make a subsequent shot, and it's cool. All enemies wear helmets, and more than half also wear gas masks. Therefore, you can kill such with a single shot right on the neck, side or back. Well, or knocking down this helmet first. But then the enemies will sound the alarm. Sometimes they will let you shoot with an easel machine gun and a flamethrower, a pleasant trifle. As of 2014, I want to note the following advantages of the game: + Storey Line. Excellent, dynamic, moderately mysterious, storyline, on behalf of a person who lived his whole life underground in the subway. + Atmosphere. Metro and darkness. Apocalypse and hopelessness. Devastation and survival. + Gameplay. Skirmishes with human enemies are interesting. It is also possible to complete stealth levels. Enemies do not shine with a special variety, people, mutants. There is a certain variety in the methods of killing opponents. I really liked the use of cartridges as a currency. The presence of a limited duration of the gas mask. Powder smoke from a shot obscures the view. Dynamo machine for charging a flashlight and night vision device. + Artificial intelligence. Enemies are accurate, use cover, and throw Artem grenades. + Picture. Photographic, high-quality textures are pleasing to the eye. + Physics. Items in the game behave like in life. Mostly. And the overall picture is not spoiled. + Optimization is good. The game does not crash. But he eats resources extremely, and sags on the “qualifier”. Of the minuses are present: -The game is too short. -Linear. No freedom of action and side tasks. - A stupid save system based on individual save points. As a result, we get a pleasant, well-developed first-person shooter, with the possibility of repeated passage, to get an alternative ending and better assimilation of the plot. A game with a great atmosphere and an interesting plot.

totally agree with this comment: I really liked Doom 2016 and hoped this would be a solid sequel.. But no. - I don't need MMORPG-like cartoonish design. - I don't need infinitely respawning monsters. - I don't want you to limit my ammo this much, only to force me to use specific gameplay features. - I don't want to see those rainbow fountains of ammo all the time. - I don't need whole game consisting only of arena-like levels. - I don't need you to tell me which weapon is right to use. - I don't need tons of abilities with cooldowns in a shooter. - I don't need big shiny question marks on secrets and arcade-styled powerups. - I don't need this much platforming. - I don't want this weird way of storytelling. I simply don't get why we couldn't keep the formula of Doom 2016, where it was so satisfying to crush monsters' sculls. Where is it all gone? And where is all this storyline coming from? Why do we need this generic fantasy nonsense in a Doom game, what is it, Harry Potter fanfiction? And also why do I need to watch monsters fighting each other without taking any actual damage? Is it supposed to be funny? Thanks, but no, refund, I will rather play any other Doom game. This one is not just a bad Doom game, this is not even a shooter. This is First Person Mario-Dota-Slasher, a new kind of genre, which I defenitely do NOT like. And it is a shame they spoiled great Doom series with this awful game. PS. What those positive reviewers are even talking about - "resource management", "strategic thinking"? How about this strategy - "press E for ammo, press C for health", does it sound smart to you? Resource management existed in classic Doom games where you had actually to learn level to find hidden ammo, or otherwise you would just die, because there was no infinite farming. Modern mass-market "gamers" would just cry, I believe, so here you have doom eternal.

In two words: the game is annoying! I've been familiar with the series for a long time, played three parts of the first game and can compare. Each subsequent game moves further away from the plot and more and more descends into a scripted problem generator. Whatever you do you can't avoid the following moments: 1. Approximately 70% of the game time is night. 2. Zombies appear around you within sight. And they are able to become very resistant, so that other undead can get to you quickly breaking records on the run. 3. Maximum stamina pumping can only take 3-4 swings with an ultralight axe. 4. the Members of your group are absolutely incapable of anything other than portraying terminally ill people. But as soon as you leave the base, they get a thirst for action. Being wounded, sick and tired, they arrange fights, periodically in one haryu devour food for the entire group, roll gasoline, etc. just because they are like this. Apparently, the developers consider this behavior normal during the zombie Apocalypse. 5. the Neighbors are also wonderful people. They refuse to join you because they are "strong and independent". But after five minutes, these figures will send you a message demanding immediate help. It is you, according to the developers, who should rush headlong to save "friends" who are wringing horse price tags for resources. 6. a Full tank of the SUV will last you for 15 minutes, of which 5 you will try to move off a tiny rock or even fly through half a map after hitting the most stunted zombie. 7. Why fix the bug with getting stuck in the examined box (in the box, Karl!) when can I do the "free skill" "I'm stuck!"? A stroke of genius, true professionals. And so in everything. Poor graphics, crooked physics, almost complete lack of plot, incredible "tolerastia" in social relationships on the verge of absurdity.

Dishonored: Definitive Edition
9
User ScoreGoodMorningAss
Mar 1, 2020
Dishonored is easy to fall in love with. First of all, because of the setting. Torn by the plague, the Victorian city from Viktor Antonov (City-17, by the way, also his work) turned out to be one of the most terrible places I visited in video games. Flocks of rattles scuffle everywhere, eating decaying corpses scattered in the slums, consumptive cough is constantly heard from the gateway, and there is no cure for the approaching plague, and probably will not. In addition, at the very beginning of the game, hired killers deal with the empress right in front of the main character, Corvo Atano, the defender of Her Majesty, making him the main suspect. Corvo will have to get out of prison and avenge the offenders - both for himself and for the Empress. True, the serene love of Dishonored does not last long - problems begin. Alas, the re-release of Dishonored: Definitive Edition for PS4 and Xbox One on August 28, neatly absorbed all the same flaws that annoyed the original. First of all, it is worth noting how one convention, which Arkane Studios decided to stuff into the game beyond some trait, prevents the player from getting to the fullest. The fact is that in Dishonored does not encourage the killing of enemies: if you sow death to the right and left, then the plague will finally swallow Danwall. Therefore, you will not see a good ending. And it's a shame. Indeed, in theory, Dishonored is a stealth action that requires creative thinking; Arkane was able to cross the rich abilities of the hero and the complex design of the levels so that they happily coexist. Corvo knows how to quickly teleport to short distances, hiding in the shadows, turn enemies into dust, set swarms of hungry rats against enemies, and even move into other people's bodies. And this does not include bombs and mines! All Corvo abilities have a tactical application - primarily due to the excellent level design. Each location is fraught with many alternative ways - from branching at first dizzy. But as soon as you draw a plan in your head, the virtual overseer will hit on the fingers with a stick; Despite all the freedom, Dishonored tries to keep you on a short leash. Want to set a trap by laying a couple of mines? Climbed onto the ledge of the building and want to jump on the enemy, killing him in a jump? Or maybe you want to distract the patrol and send him a flock of rats to sneak unnoticed? Of course, all this can be cranked up, but the result of these actions will be disastrous not only for your enemies, but also for you - insidiousness will not lead to a positive ending to the game. In a word, most of the possibilities are simply not used. All that remains for you is to strangle and shoot with sleeping darts. Not a lot, but then you will see the correct ending. The second problem of Dishonored is the script, or rather its presentation. The narrative is too sketchy: there is a home location - an abandoned bar standing on the outskirts of the city, there we receive an order for the next victim, who may be involved in the attempt on the empress, and put forward on a mission. In the intervals between tasks, in fact, nothing interesting happens. Character types are too transparent - you won’t need much deduction to figure out whoever sets up Corvo the next minute. Corvo himself is always silent and does not express any emotions. At the same time, the Dishonored universe is perfectly designed. True, the scriptwriters decided to tell the most interesting through notes scattered across locations. So, you can find out the details of Danwall's economy, which is based on the sale of whale oil, or read about what is happening in neighboring cities. But the game does not have all of this.

With various locations: scorched lands, deserts, swamp swamps, mountains, overgrown jungle, canyons, dungeons, sewers, cities, bunkers, caves, dumps + Awesome post-apocalypse atmosphere with powerful cyber punk influence. Gorgeous graphics and elaboration of the environment, and of course incredibly beautiful sky-boxes + Many authentic characters, both plot and random, that tell interesting stories and give tasks, traders, mechanics, informants, cyber surgeons + An interesting, but unpretentious main plot with non-linear quests (for 8-12 hours of play), plus a huge number of audio recordings and diaries found around the world that detail the ENT games + Extensive and detailed world building. Each part of the location, whether it is an abandoned factory, or a village, a building, or a settlement, a trading city or an underground laboratory, a research station or base - everything in the game is hand-made, well-designed and never repeats. + A lot of vehicles, cars, buggies, motorcycles, boats, flying hover-bikes, tanks, with unique weapons. The main car of the protagonist, with a talking AI, and opening perks and weapons. + A huge number of various action events at locations, there is always something to do (for 45-70 hours of the game): story missions, side missions, random events, secret missions, boss bases, lair with mutants, shelters, puzzles, contracts, elimination targets, constantly changing convoys, columns, races, arena with battles, searching for arks, tablets, fallen rangers, chests, filtering, meteorites, eco-spheres, balloons + Very beautiful graphics, changing the time of day, sound, open world without downloads (in general) + Cheat mode. All the sandbox elements of the game are involved around one main and fundamental gameplay mechanics - SHOOTING, PERKOV and COMBO-ACTION, this is what the whole game has to do, and not something else. It is foolish to expect from this game that which it should not be by definition.
