The story of two elite Snipers who are brought in to protect their respective sides of a deep, dark, mysterious Gorge from it's terrifying inhabitants. The film stars Miles Teller (Levi, Sniper from the West), Anya Taylor Joy (Drasa, Sniper from the East), and Sigourney Weaver (Bartholomew, Levi's recruiter). The Director Scott Derrickson does a marvelous job with the story of isolation, fear, and the fight for survival. There is great chemistry between Joy and Teller which definitely adds a nice touch to this Romance/Horror film. The Cinematography and special effects will definitely give you goosebumps or at east it did for me. Overall it is a really good film lead by three fantastic actors.

The journey of a small group of animals who have been thrust together in a small boat due to a natural disaster. This film is a visual masterpiece in the world of animation. The film is directed and co-wrote by Gints Zilbalodis. The film is charming and a very entertaining. Animation has come a long way from the 1908 film Fantasmagorie by Emile Cohl. I would say this film is geared more towards adults and older children as their is no dialogue. Not to mention it runs 1 hour and 25 minutes. But it will seem like a short 1 hour and 25 minutes. Time flies because this film is just incredible to watch you can't wait to see what's next around the bend.

Director Edward Berger does a magnificent job taking us behind the doors of the Roman Catholic headquarters in the selection process of replacing a Pope that has passed away. I was wondering how the Filmmaker was going to make such a solemn gathering interesting. The answer is you add deception, ambition, and plenty of twists and turns to make this quite a religious thriller that's sure to surprise you. The cast is an amazing group of actors lead by Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini to name a few. The music adds a great touch that just enhances all of the drama. This film is definitely a must watch I have watched it twice just to enjoy the performances.

Based on the true story of wrestler Anthony Robles whose goal is to become Nationals Champion despite his disability. The film stars Jharrel Jerome as Anthony Robles. Jennifer Lopez plays his Mom Judy. Don Cheadle is his college wrestling coach Shawn Charles. The performance by Jerome and Cheadle were excellent. The rest of the cast were just average to be honest including Jennifer Lopez. I found this film about an inspiring story less than inspiring due to the lack of emotion I felt. A film like this should make you want to stand up and cheer and maybe go out and do some crunches or run around the block. You know like one of the Rocky films or Hoosiers or Vision Quest. A training.montage with great music would have helped. While it's not a bad film it's far from great.

Robert Eggers did a brilliant job updating this chilling, Gothic, horror film. The film stars Bill Skarsgard as the blood ****, monstrous Count Orlok. Orlok, who has a thing for the wife (Lily-Rose Depp) of an 1800s version of a Century 21 agent by the name of. Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult). Thomas is sent by his Boss to seal the deal with the Count that plans on moving to a fixer-upper. This film is like one giant nightmare but in a good way as it will haunt you thanks to the performances of this cast. Especially Lily-Rose Depp that has such a raw, powerful role that I have not seen from her before, well done Miss Depp! This film is sure to be a classic.

To say this film is Writer/Director Sean Baker's best film ever goes without saying in my opinion. This film is about the tumultuous relationship between a brash 23 year old Stripper/Prostitute from Brooklyn by the name on Ani (Mikey Madison) and the 21 year old son of a Russian Oligarch named Vanya (Mark Eydelshteyn). This relationship leads to quite an emotional and physical roller coaster ride once Vanya's parents finds out what's going on. The acting in this film is really well done. But the performance of the lead actor Mikey Madison was incredible. Her joy and pain is felt throughout the entire film. It's easy to see why she received a nomination from the Golden Globes and eventually the Academy Awards will as well. This film is raw and hard for some audiences to watch I would imagine with the language, nudity, and sex scenes which are necessary for the story and the life Ani lives. So you may not want to invite members of your Bible Study to see it with you. But please don't let you from stopping you from seeing this film due to the acting that is on display.

My first reaction after watching this film was, I Waited 24 years for this? This film takes place 16 years later with Rome under new leadership. The Roman army, lead by General Acacius (Pedro Pascal) doing what they do out conquering other kingdoms and capturing slaves. Bringing them back including one special slave by the name of. Lucius (Paul Mescal). The acting in this film was good, with the exception of Denzel Washington as Macrinus and Connie. Nielsen as Lucilla who were exceptional in my opinion. The storyline of the film is similar to the first Gladiator film but without the emotion. The battle and fight scenes were good and well choreographed. That's the positives about this sequel film. The negative which really detract from the film are the use of CGI for some of the scenes. It reminded me of one of those bad SyFy Channel movies they used to show on weekend afternoons. I almost expected Ian Ziering and Tara. Reid to show up.

Two Cousins, David and Benji Kaplan decide to honor their late Jewish Grandma Dori by going to Poland to see where she once lived. Which seems like a great idea for family to do as they were close when they was younger. But which often occurs in family to people as they get older and drift apart. This film does a great job showing this. This film stars. Jesse **** also directed, produced, and help write it as well. Eisenberg **** cousin named David, the now married, responsible, hard working family man. Kieran Culkin plays the other cousin Benji, the complete opposite of his cousin David. This film is filled with emotion not only between the two cousins but the journey through Poland as well. The performances of both Eisenberg and Culkin are tremendous which deserve recognition. The rest of the cast is solid. The beauty and sadness of Poland is on display as well. This film is well worth watching for these talented young actors.

Hello, Are you familiar with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? A question that two Missionaries Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (Chloe East) cautiously ask Mr Reed (Hugh Grant) in this psychological thriller directed marvelously by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Mr Reed is just seeking answers when it comes to faith trying to decide what the one true religion is. This film has all of the elements for a terrifying experience. A creepy old house, a thunderstorm, and that feeling something isn't quite right. Hugh Grant lately has been dipping his toes in the world of being a villain and less being a love interest. All i can say is Bravo Mr Grant as his performance is incredible. Charming, yet frightening at a moments notice. But Sophie's and Chloe's performance rise to the occasion as well. For those that don't care for all the over the top slasher films but like being cuddling up on the couch with plenty of scares to get the old heart a racing then this is for you.

I am going to preface this review by saying I have been a fan of Saoirse Ronan since I watched her in the film Brooklyn back in.2015. This talented young actor hasn't made a bad film ever as far as I am concerned including this one. This film is based on the memoir of. Amy Liptrot a woman that grew up on the Orkney Islands off of the coast of Scotland. This film takes us on the journey of."Rona" aka Amy as she lives basically two lives. One in London where she parties, goes to school, and has a boyfriend. The other which she reluctantly has to return to Orkney to help with the family farm with her Dad. But being home brings up her troubled past which has developed into a troubled present with addiction and the intense struggles to get sober. We witness her successes and we witness her failures as well. I really enjoyed this film and Ronan is absolutely brilliant. She shows the pain of addiction and when she is doing well day by day. The rest of the cast are fantastic as well. The beauty of the Orkney Islands are on full display. Anyone that has dealt with addiction or knows someone who has will especially relate to this film.

You take a great Director like Robert Zemeckis who has brought us such wonderful films through the years like Forest Gump,Romancing the Stone, and Back to the Future to name a very few. Then you add Tom Hanks and Robin Wright and you have a recipe for a fantastic film which this film is. However I must admit it kinda confusing at first the way it bounced around all Willy Nilly like a beach ball at Wrigley Field on a windy day. It's the Tale of everyone and everything thing that has been on this little piece of land and eventually the home all through many, many years. The good times and of course the bad times as well. The main focus is the. Young family played by Tom Hanks, Robin Wright,Paul Bettany, and Kelly.Reilly who are sensational as the entire is as well. The film is visually stunning almost what I would say as magical. You will be touched by this film as it's easy to relate what all of these people are feeling over time. I found myself thinking about my Parents who also lived in there home for a long time. For me honestly I went from nearly turning the film off early on to loving this Zemeckis lead feature that deserves praise and not criticism.

How does one turn a less than flashy **** a war drama into a highly entertaining film? I will tell you how, you hire and incredible cast lead by the amazing. Kerry Washington. Tyler Perry takes us back in time to 1945 during. WW II and tells the story ****.6888th.which was the first and only all-Black female Women's Army Corps (WAC) unit stationed in Europe during World War II. Their primary task was to sort and deliver a backlog of millions of pieces of mail to American soldiers fighting abroad. These ladies faced not only the dangers of war but everything women and people of color dealt with during that time period. In my opinion, this is the best movie Tyler Perry has ever done and I applaud him for bringing this true story to light. I hope he continues to make more films like this.

The complicated story of Kathy (Jodie Comer) and Benny (Austin Butler) and them being a part of a Motorcycle Club that evolves from a group just hanging out talking about bikes, having some beer, a little racing to a group that involves drugs and extreme violence. Jeff Nichols is the director who also co-wrote the story with Danny Lyon. The film also stars Tom Hardy (Johnny), Michael Shannon (Zipco), Mike Faist (Danny), Beau Knapp (Wahoo), and Norman Reedus (Funny Sonny) to name just a few of this outstanding cast. I really enjoyed this film and the cast of such great characters as the names would lean to. I especially enjoyed the performances of Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, and Michael Shannon. In my opinion both Comer and Hardy gave Oscar worthy work. The one actors performance I was disappointed in was that of Austin Butler. I am not sure if it's him to blame or did Jeff Nichols not bring it out of him in which he had the chance to shine. The Butler did not do it.

I really enjoyed this action film which in my opinion was well acted and the fight scenes were fantastic. The filmmaker did a good job of showing off the Louisiana countryside. This film is loosely based on the story of Black Champion Boxer Jack Johnson during the 1910s as he dealt with racism and suppression. The film stars the late great James Earl Jones (Jack Jefferson/Johnson), Jane Alexander (Eleanor), Lou Gilbert (Goldie), Joel Fluellen (Tick), Chester Morris (Pop Weaver), and Robert Webber (Dixon) to name just a few. Such a powerful and incredible performance by Jones, unlike anything I have seen from him. Usually he was always a supporting member of a film not the lead which was a shame. The supporting cast was as good as it gets. The story was written by Howard Sackler. Directed by Martin Ritt. The film did such an excellent job of telling what a famous man of color dealt with during that time period and how so many wanted him to fail which never deterred Johnson's drive to be the best Boxer. I thought it was very entertaining and a film that everyone should see.

This is like a cross between a live-action Looney Toons cartoon and a Furry convention. It's unique, creative, and laugh out loud funny. Some people who were born without a sense of humor may not like it because it's silly and won't get it. But I found it one of the funniest films I have seen in quite some time. This film is about a family that moves to Staten Island from Brooklyn for a better life. Joe Larusso (Domenick Lombardozzi) a tracksuit wearing man that isn't forthcoming about his whereabouts at times. His loving, loyal wife Francine (Jennifer Esposito). Connie, (Odessa A'zion) the fiery daughter. Rose, the shy, daughter (Emily Bader). This film comes from the female perspective of an organized crime family. How some members of the family accept their roles as being loyal members of the family being married, having kids. Rose however has bigger dreams. In my opinion, one of the best, and unique, mafia films. Jennifer Esposito, wrote, directed, and co-produced this passion project. The performances by this cast was quite good, especially that of Emily Bader that deserves recognition by the Academy. The film shook me to the core, and during the whole time I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something or someone to explode. Please check this Indie film out and give it the praise it deserves.

Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) is a stuntman that puts his life on the line to make the Stars of a film look good and stay out of harms way. When something happens and Colt needs to bring his Movie Magic skills to use in the real world. David Leitch does an amazing job directing this light hearted homage to the under appreciated men and women that risk life and limb to entertain us. Such a fine supporting cast consisting of the talented, charming Emily Blunt (Jody Moreno), Hannah Waddingham (Gail Meyer), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Tom Ryder), Teresa Palmer (Iggy Star), Stephanie Hsu (Alma Milan), and Winston Duke (Dan Tucker). The film is funny, plenty of action as you would expect. Ryan Gosling is such a good comedic actor when he wants to be with that dry sense of humor and how he delivers his lines, well done Ryan! This film is such a great way to spend an evening taking in.

Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) gets word that his daughter ,Jane (Taylor Paige) might be in trouble and back to California he goes like any Father would. Once there he enlists the help of his friends to resolve this situation. This film does a great job of taking us back to where we first fell in love with Mr Foley back in the 80s. It was so nice to see these actors bring back their characters from the past to present time and they never missed a beat, especially Murphy. The supporting cast consisting of Judge Reinhold (Det. Billy Rosewood), John Ashton (Chief John Taggart), Kevin Bacon (Captain Grant), Paul Reiser (Deputy Chief Jeffrey Friedman), and Bronson Pinchot (Serge). The film was well written with plenty of laughs. Mark Molloy did great directing this all star group. I found this film nostalgic and entertaining and had me doing the Neutron Dance long after the credits rolled. Thank you Mr Murphy!

Off we go to the Pacific Northwest where we follow along of hairy cryptids known as Sasquatches. We travel with an Alpha Male (Nathan Zellner), Female (Riley Keough), Male (Jesse Eisenberg) and Child Christophe Zajac-Denek) as they go back their day to day activities trying to survive and deal with isolation and the encroachment of Man. I knew going into this film I wasn't going to see the next Citizen Kane or Godfather. What I did watch was a Jack Links commercial written by Seth MacFarlane with a little Johnny Knoxville thrown in. It did have some funny scenes and an occasional heartwarming scene or two. But this was overshadowed by such lewdness and an infatuation with bodily functions. They really dropped the ball in my opinion they should have made like a Mockumentary and played into the things that so called Bigfoot hunters claim Squatches do. The Zellners should have watched the Travel Channel for a day or two. Overall I was disappointed in this film.

This film is about three people brought together by one thing, impending death. Marty (David Duchovny) has a fatal illness. Marty's only child, Ted (Logan Marshall-Green) a Peanut slinger. Mariana (Stephanie Beatriz) is Marty's 'Death Nurse' someone who helps make a persons last days a little better. Ted decides to also make Marty's brief future a little better as well. I really enjoyed this film that Duchovny wrote and directed as well. It will make you laugh, feel good, and at times shed a tear or two. The supporting cast was strong as well with Pamela Adlon (Blauner), Jason Beghe (Tango Sam), Evan Handler (Benny), Santo Fazio (Shticker) and Daphne Rubin-Vega (Eva). This film will definitely make you decide to call your Dad especially if you haven't done so in a while.

This is the story of a young, troubled woman that ends up stranded in the middle of a deep, dark, forest in Ireland along with three other unfortunate people. In order to survive they are forced to participate in a reality show for a terrifying, unseen audience. The film is written and well directed by first time director Ishana Night Shyamalan. Her Father, M Night Shyamalan produced the film. The stars of this Horror film are Dakota Fanning (Mina/Lucy) Olwen Fouere (Madeline) Georgina Campbell (Ciara) and Oliver Finnegan (Daniel). The cast as solid as they come, especially Fanning. Definitely some frightening scenes, however I wish their were a lot more to qualify this as a Horror film. I did enjoy the twists and turns in the film in true Shyamalan fashion, nicely done! Overall I found it quite entertaining and look forward to see more of Ishana's work.

This film takes place in the 1970s primarily at a Gas Station/Diner/Motel Combo which growing up was pretty common when going on vacation. This one is located in the desert region on Yuma County Arizona. Weary Travelers low on fuel arrive gradually only to discover that the Gas Station was out of fuel til the Truck arrives and so these people are forced to wait at the Diner til they can refuel. In this eventual mix of humanity includes two unsavoury characters. The film stars Jocelin Donahue (Charlotte the Waitress), Jim Cummings (The Knife Salesman) Richard Brake (Unsavory Character #1), Nicholas Logan (Unsavoury Character #2), Faizon Love (Vernon) and Gene Jones (Robert), Robin Bartlett (Earline). My Thoughts: I thought the story was unique and interesting. The Director/Writer Francis Galluppi did a so so job. At times some of the scenes in the film were almost corny. Most of the actors have been in B Horror films in their career which made them seem like they were fresh off a local community Theatre Group with the exception of Jocelin Donahue who I thought truly shined and deserves better. Overall I found it mediocre at best.

Godzilla is chillin on the surface of Earth at the ready whenever a monster appears up to no good. Meanwhile Kong needs a little TLC. Kong's handlers at Monarch decide to escort him back to Hollow Earth a threat arrives and the titans Kong, Godzilla, and Mothra step up to save the world again. This entertaining film stars Kaylee Hottle (Jia), Rebecca Hall (Dr Ilene Andrews), Dan Stevens (Trapper, not John, just Trapper), Brian Tyree Henry (Bernie Hayes. The film is full of epic battles, and does a great job of taking you to a beautiful and mysterious world. These monster movies have a way to pull you in and make you cheer that good will triumph over evil. These films have come along way as far as special effects so realistic, much improved over the films from the 1960s that used mini sets and people in costumes I used to watch on the Acri Creature Feature on Friday nights. The cast is quite good as is the crew that put this film together, can't wait til the next one!

This 2024 film is a story of Parker (Jessica Alba) a special forces officer that returns home upon the death of her Dad (Alejandro De Hoyos) Once home Parker questions the cause of death which eventually leads to her needing the use of her specialized military training. I enjoyed this action thriller directed by Mouly Surya in her English-Language film debut, nicely done Mouly. The cast includes Anthony Michael Hall (Senator Swann) Mark Webber (Jesse), Tone Bell (Spider), Jake Weary (Elvis, not the King of Rock n Roll), and Gabriel Basso (Mike) to name just a few of this talented group. Jessica is not only a Bad*** businesswoman in real life, but channels her inner (Dark Angel) in this film. Enjoy action thriller fans, enjoy.

Gary( Glen Powell) is a full time Professor and a Part Time Hit Man?? When he meets a perspective Client, Madison (Adria Arjona) things get 'complicated'. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. So well written, Acted, directed, and produced. Until recently I didn't know much about Powell's work now I am a big fan he was terrific! But the entire cast was as well. Cast included, Retta (Claudette), Austin Amelio (Jasper) Sanjay Rao (Phil) Molly Bernard (Alicia), Evan Holtzman (Ray) and many others. The film is is funny and with plenty of action. Definitely a must watch!!

The 2024 Documentary well written and directed by one member of the 'Brat Pack' Andrew McCarthy that focuses on the young film stars from 1980's that were coined The Brat Pack. McCarthy interviews Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore. Plus Brat Pack + stars Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, and Timothy Hutton. He also talked to some of people involved in the making of those 80s movies we know and love. Notably missing with no explanation is Anthony Michael Hall??? Molly Ringwald chose not to participate, the same for Judd Nelson. I really found this Documentary a fun nostalgic look back to those 80s and it reminded me how much I miss film director John Hughes. Please check this film out and then go back and watch some of these great 80s films, you will be glad you did.
