I had never seen this movie until yesterday, and totally enjoyed it. Pure, intelligent, exciting entertainment. It's very well written, with a tight plot that will keep you engaged from the get go. Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore and all others in the cast create such wondreful characters. Especially "The Dude" You just love The Dude, man. John Goodman's character his hilarious, and he's calmer than you are. I see why this film is such the cult classic that it is. Be sure and check it out if you havent.

A unique, heartwrenching story, Beasts of the Southern Wild is unlike anything I've ever seen. Quvenzhane Wallis gives a powerhouse performance, and I would love to see her name on the list of "Best Actress" nominess this Winter. I'd reccomend this to anyone who is looking to escape from the norm, and enjoy and interesting tale.

A true classic. This is a film that was ahead of it's time when it was released in 1967. A solid cast (all major characters were nominated for Academy Awards) and a fun, fun story. Fun is the key word to say when discussing this film. Highly recommended.

A truly powerful film, with a message that will stay with you long after the screen goes off, American History X is a force to be reckoned with. Edward Norton's performance stands out. It is a very believable and gripping performance. I love any movie that touches on 'touchy' subjects. In this case, it's racism. The thing with this topics in films is that they are very easy to mess up, or become cliche. Luckily, this movie wonderfully, and shockingly tells the story of a man that escapes the life of a Skinhead, and further tries to prevent his younger brother from falling down the same path. A classic film, and a must-see for any movie-buff. 9/10

Outstanding visuals, wonderful film making, good acting, and lots of character is what this movie is filled to the brim with. The action is exciting, yet surprisingly it isn't the best part of this movie. For me, the best part was the characters, and the relationship that you, the audience, have with the characters. You really feel connected to the lead Ape character, Caesar. (played by Andy Serkis, and very well might I add.) You can see the pain, love, and intensity in Caesar's eyes throughout this film. It's a smart script, with several moments that will make your emotions run wild. And in my opinion, that is what movies are all about. I think this is easily one the best movies to come out all summer. Highly recommended. 8/10

Not having seen No Strings Attached, I can't compare Friends with Benefits to it. Perhaps this is a good thing, as it seems that a comparison between the two films is happening a lot in reviews and word of mouth alike. I can say, however, that Friend with Benefits is an entertaining movie, that has a few good laughs, and some heart in there as well. Would I see it again? No. But it was fun while it lasted. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis both did well in their lead roles of this sexy romantic comedy. I predicted that the plot was going to be predictable (as most films of this genre are) and my predictions were correct. They did throw a curve-ball. A Hail Mary attempt at tugging at our heart strings just a tad more than most summer romance comedy's do. This was done with Justin Timberlake's father in the film. It seemed that they were really trying to get us on that one, and to some, maybe it will be successful. The film has a good message, and a lot of charm that grows as the movie progresses. It's not the best comedy that's been released by a long shot, and it didn't break any ground. But it's a fun little film with funny moments that some people may really enjoy. 7/10

Here we have a film that has it's ups and downs. There are a lot of ups, but there are downs as well. I would say that it's worth the nine dollars spent, and it's a fun action flick. However, it's lacking in some other aspects that don't make it the classic that this film had the opportunity to be. I'll start off by saying that I feel that Chris Evans was well-cast as Captain America, and that he did the role justice. His performance was everything that it needed to be. Hugo Weaving acted his part as the villain Red Face character well, but in my opinion every single scene that he was in simply felt dull and out of place. I don't know if this was his acting, the script, or my personal opinion. The cinematography was excellent, and the special effects superb. This is a visually stunning film, and it will please the eye. There were also moments of fun and laughter, but most likely followed by moments of bore and lack of interest. Captain America is a summer movie. Fans of the series will definitely be pleased, but I feel that most movie might be bored with this one. Go out and see it for yourself. 6/10

A true classic, with one of the most brilliant climaxes in the history of film, The Usual Suspects will not fail to make your head spin. You have everything in this movie. Solid cast. Wonderful script. Great camera work. A true gem. With Kevin Spacey leading the pack in his Academy Award winning performance, the acting in this film is very believable, and powerful. Your eyes will be glued to the film from the moment it begins, to the moment when your jaw hits the floor, in the end. I would highly recommend this film to anyone and everyone who considers themselves a fan of movies. This is simply a must-see.

It's an interesting film, very unique, and there aren't many like it. The visuals are stunning, and a treat to look at, and the characters are filled with life and a lot of heart. Being up against two huge contenders in the Animated Feature category (Toy Story 3, How to Train Your Dragon) I thought that I would check out the cartoon that was up against two fantastic features. There is minimal to absolutely no dialogue (and what dialogue there is is in French) which I found very intriguing. Some may find this to be a turn-off. However, the story is told beautifully, and there is never any confusion as to what is going on. The first twenty minutes or so I was completely engrossed in the film. With the wonderful animation and charm that is possesses, it's hard not to be. I felt though as it went on that it grew a bit slow towards the middle of the story, and lost the grip that it had on me at the beginning. I would recommend this especially for any fan of animation. It's definitely a work of art. However, for casual film goers, I would stick to the Pixar masterpieces that we all know and love. 7/10

Here you have a breath of fresh air with comedy's in this generation. This film is non-stop funny. Kristin Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are some noticeable stand-outs in this movie, however one thing that makes this movie so great is the strong ensemble talent. There are no weak leaks in this film! Every character has at least one or two memorable quotes, that you'll be repeating before you even leave the theater. It's one thing for a comedy to make you laugh, but a comedy that really has you rooting for the characters is something special. You feel connected to Wiig's lead character, and truly feel sorry for her when things are down in the dumps. This is quality script writing. There seems to be a fear that keeps some guys away from this movie, calling it a "chick-flick." Believe me, this movie is far from a chick-flick. There is something for anyone that simply wants to have an enjoyable time at the theater. You will laugh. That is for sure. It's amazing to me that this film came out in the US in May, and is STILL going strong in theaters. That right there should be enough of a sign to go see this movie. I've seen it 4 times, and I can't wait to see it again. 9/10
