The amazing detail and love of the studio for this game is a real welcome in this day and age. I'm taking this game very slow, enjoying every hall and stairs in Hogwarts. I am totally not familiar with Harry Potter movies but enjoying the game for its atmosphere. Could use a small PC fix for performance though but its not as broken as Forspoken, that's for sure. Deserves game of the year already tmho
80 euro for this unoptimized mess ****. Thank goodness steam has a 2 hour refund policy which I gladly used. 5950X/3090... turn camera, frame drops, camera change, frame drops, starting a 'cinematic'... frame drops. Remember crysis in 1985? This is 10 times worse... avoid
No checkboxes and no Abby makes this game the PS4 GOTY for 2020. Hope developers get the message but we gotta see. 10/10, what a lovely way to say goodbye to the PS4 era.
I'm not a bot but I know a bad game when I see one. GG Neil Duckman. Good graphics and gameplay but the story is very upsetting at least and this is a game more about the story, isnt it?
An 83 avg. score by official reviewers? I wonder what kind of review copy they played. This game deserves the 2.7 user score it is getting at the moment. Ofcourse it's gonna be called 'review bombing'... I call it: realistic scoring. Microtransactions for every single thing in the game and online only in a fighting game... Here is my user score and have a great day Mr. Boone.
The pink flora isn't so bad, it makes the world look really nice. The 'light' RPG elements ruin this Far Cry however (level 1,2,3,4 weapons). Glad I 'only' payed 23 euro for this game. Game was made for microtransactions only.
Pay to Win will be back sooner than you can say Luke Skywalker. Shady business practices by EA enforcing gambling. Being investigated by Belgium and The Netherlands atm.
I'm not gonna rate this game by Bethesda's move on Praey to the Gods. That company should be thanking Bethesda for all the exposure they now are getting on their game. If you like HalfLife and System Shock 2, this is a no brainer... just buy it. It's a good PC port, it doesn't have the best textures but the gameplay is very much to my liking. If you're looking for a Doom shooter, I would not recommend this. 9 out of 10
What a horrible experience... and they call this for fans and first time players??? Frameskips through the whole game, terrible Depth of Field, and the battle system.... oh my god it's horrible. Please do what other software developers are doing and go BACK TO THE ROOTS. Glad I bought it used to SE doesnt profit from my buy. Persona 9/10, FF15 4/10. Compared to this bullcrap FF13 is GOTY material.
A great game. I loved P3 and P4 maybe a bit more but what a ride this game has been. A solid 9 is totally deserved for all the hard work they did making this awesome game.
Not able to disable the annoying Film Grain (-2), Not able to disable the too bright God Rays (-2), View of owl is blurry as hell (-2), Only enjoyed the game for 2 hours (+2), After playing Horizon 0 Dawn this game feels like crap (-2). No interesting story (-2). Total score -10 +2 = 2. DO NOT BUY
If you enjoyed Demon Gaze on the Vita you'll surely love this game too. I love this game so much more than Etrian Odessey and that Abyss game that was released a short while ago. A great dungeon crawler, good party system. Just the 'male content' wasn't neccesary to be in this game. A good game doesn't need to rely on that.
If you are also disappointed with the latest releases of AAA games and where the industry is going, this game is really recommendable. Completed the game and going to complete the game again with other classes. Stays true to the Might and Magic universe and plays more like MM4/5 (Xeen) than 6-9. I never liked 6-9 much due to their 'freedom of move' and loved Xeen cause of it movement system. This game has that dungeon crawling movement system back and it plays like a charm. Maybe not a true 10/10 but it's maybe the last decent game from Ubisoft ever and that deserves a good score. If you liked Xeen, don't doubt about picking this game up. Even my father has played this game (he also played Xeen back in the days) and mostly all he is doing is the Sims :)
Even an 4.4 is too high user score for this game. This truely shows the 'critics' with their 8.2 average have no clue anymore what games are about these days. They only look at graphics? (While graphics are disappointing too actually). Story is blend, I have absolutely no bonding with my partymembers like I had with DA:Origins for example. I have to complete this game cause I wanne play Inquisition and wanne know the story from two. It's a BIG BORE to play through this game, but I'll manage (I think)
If you enjoy beeing in a queue for 6 hours before playing, WoW and WoD is the game for you. After the long queue you'll get broken stuff, lag and a garrison that disconnects you so you can queue all over again.
One of my all time favourite strategy games. The combination with commanders and units works great for strategy. Really recommendable, even after these 15 years.
As a big fan of the older Panzer General games (specially the 3D ones) I was enjoyed seeing another strategic game like those. It's got the great strategic gameplay from PG (capture map within an amount of days) which makes it very entertaining, but it's a shame it doesn't have the complexity of PG-3D with it's commanders who can do nice tricks when trained well. It DOES have commanders but it's very different. All by all I am enjoying this game very much. I'm glad some people still make and enjoy these kind of games.
Enchanted Arms exeeded all my expectations. I agree the first hour of this game was boring and not representative of how the game will be. Luckely the gay character won't be in your party for long, his voiceset was awfull. But all the other characters have very good voices in English. I'm having no problems making time to complete this game, having much fun with it. The storyline is very well done, the golems all look good and have their unique voice sets. The game is as liniar as FF13 but in this game I don't mind that much. The music is very well done as well. The battles are not as strategical as FF Tactics but still offer nice strategy to be thought out while doing them. For the price you can buy this game at the moment I'll recommend every RPG lover to try it out and make it through the first boring hour. But then when the game kicks in you'll love it. 8/10 for this game for me.
If you're a fan of JRPG this isn't the game for you. Storyline is very thin, combat is very simplistic. I really tried to like this game but it's become one of those games I will never finish cause I find it's a waste of my time. Also the framerate at some area's is very low and that doesn't improve the feeling of the game either.
Tales of the Abyss is truely a great RPG. Not mindless walking around for hours with only a main quest but lots of conversations between characters while playing. Glad I found this game for my old PS2. Tales series always had one of the best battle systems and this one keeps at it. Every lover of JRPG should have played this one. Very recommendable
Downloaded the free demo first and after playing for a little I knew this would be my game. The price only 10euro's on PSN was a great sale. Now having great fun with it and can't stop playing. Gameplay is where this game rocks. Online with other players is great fun and a good challenge to play. Played more hours with this game than my other games combined. Graphics are good, sounds is good, gameplay is great. Try the demo first to see if this is your game too.
If you love turn based games this is a must have for the PSP. As Turn Based is a dying genre I'm glad they created Metal Gear Acid (and part 2). Storyline is good (8/10), graphics are quite good for a handheld (8/10) and gameplay is where this game shines (10/10). Winning cards and completing a good deck makes the game with a high replayability value. Custom missions with 'kill all enemies' takes a complete different deck then 'stay undetected'. Glad to have found the origional game in the stores today cause it really makes my collection of games for the PSP complete.
After getting bored with Skyrim after just a few hours, I reinstalled this game and gonna have a lot of fun with it again. One of the best RPG's out there. Bit dated graphics but the gameplay makes a game, not the textures.
Didn't give a zero for review cause they still managed to port this game from the 360. I highly like RPG games and been playing Elder Scrolls since Daggerfall but after playing a few hours it doesn't grab me at all like Morrowind or Oblivion. The fights are absurdly easy, doesn't require any skill (another game gone bad due to xbox ports). I liked the graphics in Morrowind more then in this game. Strolling through the map is one of my favourite things to do in other Elder Scroll games but this game doesn't offer any fun in doing so. Its one big hyped RPG suited for the XBox generation... very sad
Playing through the game it doesn't come close to Heroes of Might and Magic in the beginning days. Just 4 resources to manage and then Gold counts as a resource as well. I can't understand how people would give this game that compares a lot to Heroes V such a high score. Thinking hard of reinstalling Heroes 3 again. Another big disappointment is the battle screen. Made out of squares instead of hexes. That would have been the first thing to change from heroes five to six but they chose to just 'copy paste' the battle field routine instead. The heroes skills I find very uninteresting, and no town screen made the game even go into a deeper negative score. I had much more fun with Disciples 3 then this clone of Heroes V.
