I have such mixed feeling. Most of the voice acting is pretty bad. The story is kinda dull. Getting around is a chore at times. Knowing what walls are destroyable goes from obvious to downright questionable. The pace is slow and feels like you're going through the motions. At timesI felt like it was getting better than it was. Combat can be spammed once you get ability and pretty much nothing can harm you. None of the dungeons or abilities are that exciting minus the boots. Animations are clunky, music is pretty good, story is forgettable, exploring becomes a chore most of the time and combat is pretty dull. Wanted to like way more thanI ended up.

This game hit all the marks for me. It's got enough meat on the bones, but never outstays it's welcome. The combat was fun and engaging enough without being complicated. The story was interesting enough to keep me invested, but did not expect me to recall hours of dialogue to keep up, plus some great humor sprinkled in. The music fits the tone and just felt like how a retro inspired title should be presented in modern times. I share that notion when it also comes to graphically, mechanically, etc. Just a cohesive piece of work through and through for me. Here's to the developers future works being just as enjoyable, possibly even more so. Loved it from start to finish.

There are some genuine good moments, but overall this game is more a test of patience than skill and it's more frustrating than fun. I love all lillymo games, but this one is a pretty big flop. Controls and expectations are ridiculously unfair and tedious for the sake of it.

I was going to give this game a pass as an intro to game design but it is far from salvageable. I know hard, but fair. I have beat super meat boy, this isn't anything like that. Save your money, these positive reviews are clearly fake. I made it to the last few levels and it's been nothing but a glitchy unfair unpolished mess. The hit detection is atrocious if you are trying to land a jump or attack an enemy, but if they try to hit you it's spot on every time. Please stay away from this one, I made a huge mistake.

It's been a bit since I played so perhaps they fixed some stuff. Either way I want to leave a review because I feel this game gets a lot more negative attention than it deserves. I recall some technical issues, nothing game breaking really, and definitely some buggy trophies. If you enjoy 3D puzzle platformers then you could do a lot worse than ginger. First off, the games priced at a fair asking price of $20 full price. It goes on sale for as low as $4!!! Personally I think it's worth around 10-15$ , but considering other games can be full price of $60 you're making out pretty well here. If you like Super Mario Galaxy or Spyro you'll more than likely enjoy this title. Just go in with reasonable expectations and you shouldn't be disappointed.

If you're a fan of super meat boy and those one more run action packed speed run games then you could do a lot worse, probably. Seriously though, this games controls could be a little more tuned, but it's not impossible to complete. I've beaten it and S ranked half of the stages currently. I would recommend this game at about the $5 realm, $10 tops. cheaper is better, but I think that price point is more than fair. The music is good, chip tunes mostly, graphics are nice to look at. Other than the frustration a game like this can cause I'd say it's been worth the money for me.

Hello fellow gamers! If you haven't checked this one out yet I urge you to do yourself the service of purchasing this content as it's a great product on so many levels. If you are a fan of metroidvanias, ninja gaiden, retro gaming with modern controls then there's so much to like here. Between the story, art direction, soundtrack, gameplay mechanics, challenge, there's really a lot of content to enjoy here. I fell in love with this game right within the first few cutscenes. The story is so well written, between the philosophical stuff thrown in there and the humor as well to keep things light creates a perfect balance. Characters are all fleshed out well. Level design is top notch too. Sure there can be some tricky spots when going for the many hidden items and even progressing further may pose a challenge to some, but to me it is done in a fair way that rewards the player however they choose to proceed. There's free dlc with talks of more if sales remain strong and I for one would love more content for this game that already is quite large in size. The music is super catchy to the point of being borderline infectious. I can't really find anything to be harsh on and I'm super critical of stuff so use that as a guide. I really loved this game and feel you will too if you like any of the many components it has to offer. The game is only 20$ USD at the PS store and it could've easily sold for three times that with the content and quality it has to offer. If you're not quite sure look at some videos on YouTube, but beware of spoilers. This is a game I feel will be enjoyed through many generations as the ones it took inspiration from.
