Excellent game. I never played the original so I don't have anything to compare it to even though I know this is a remake. But the graphics were top notch. The setting was intense. They captured the horror and survival feeling well. I didn't care for some of the boss fights. But the level design itself was amazing from start to finish. Good story. Wasn't super compelling but overall interesting enough. This game is another that really helps set the standard for what a remake should be. Well done.

Cool idea but poor execution. I love the music and the art style. Would have been a fun game to complete. But the way they set the controls up while an interesting idea makes it tedious and cumbersome to play. Glad it released on Gamepass so I don't spend any money. You'll know pretty quickly whether or not you can get into this so I didn't play this game long.

Cheap Gamepass trash. Boring puzzle design. Horrible “boss” fights due to bad and limited mechanics. These are the games that make me rethink Gamepass because it’s largely just a safe haven for cheap indie crap. Pass with real money on this.

They’ve improved in every way possible from the first game which was already a 9. Sad to see so many pathetic critics trying to weigh the game down from its 9 status. Read the real players reviews though. This is easily one of the best games to come out this year. Smooth gameplay. Great story. Well done missions. Exploring is fun and entertaining. Combat is excellent and improved from the other 2 games. There are bugs and small flaws here and there as with every game. But what they got right far outweighs the minor amount of negatives.

It's a step in the right direction for the series but still missed on some key elements. The story was pretty bland and forgettable. The stealth elements still need a lot of work. It needs a more fleshed out experience because it does feel like the DLC it was planned to be but marketed as a full experience. I really enjoyed the smaller areas. They are much more dense, alive and interesting. I enjoyed getting back to stealth gameplay. One hit killing is welcomed back. I thought the more streamlined skill tree and ungraded paths were nice. Not mindlessly grinding for upgrades that are minimal like in Valhalla. The graphics looked very good -- especially for an Ubi game. The characters were well done even if the story was a bit flat. The location was interesting. All in just a much better experience verses the long draw out and overly bloated last few games in the series. It was still a bit short but I enjoyed this style much more nonetheless. Hope this is the future.

Absolute abysmal game. Where to even start. First. Don’t buy this. Play it on Gamepass so you don’t waste any money. Second. The driving is the worst part of this driving game. Do you like driving an average of 30 miles an hour? Do you love slamming on the brake every 3 seconds? Do you enjoy driving on boring tracks with no scenery? Then maybe this game is for you. Terrible progression system. Career is lifeless. Graphics look 10 years old. Performance is poor. Multiplayer takes 15 minutes to go set up. This is arguably the worst Xbox game Xbox has put out to date. Unless you’re just really into trashy sim racers, this game is pathetic. Just take a look at the massive amount of complaints they're already getting on their forums and their lack of answers of how or when they plan to fix this mess ****. Gamepass has saved me so much money the last 2 years.

This game starts out with very mixed feelings. But after doing 3 play throughs and getting the true ending I have a better grip on what the game actually feels like. And it's just very average. The movement and combat overall are very satisfying. Fromsoft know how to develop movement and it really shows when you play other games that try to emulate it and you can truly feel how short others fall. Art direction is top notch. They really captured the scale of this game well. But the story is very lack luster. Yes, the lore is deep, but you have to go outside of the game to find it all. This is not good story telling or design to me. This is partly due to Fromsoft nerds fanboying for it, claiming you have to dig for it and that's part of the game. No. It's shallow and a cop out. Some of the boss fights are very intriguing while some seem punishing beyond reason and give you a sense of dumb luck verses actually learning and growing to beat them. Like I said, I played through 3 times so I fought all the bosses and many multiple times. Also, a lot of the missions are very throw away. You might be in one for 2 minutes and it's over. Build crafting is nonexistent. I played through the game 3 times and used the same build for 2.5 play throughs of it. Once you unlock some of the better weapons, you can brute force all encounters going forward and pretty easily at that. Overall I had higher hopes for this game. It seems like it has a really good foundation though and I look forward to seeing what they do with this franchise going forward. Overall if you can get the hang of the game you will enjoy most of it. But if you are not used to these kinds of games, do not bother with this one. It will only upset you.

Bethesda is no longer a powerhouse developer. I don't know what this is or how it took them this long to create what they created. This game feels half finished. Like they just couldn't figure it out so they shipped what they had done. To their credit, I haven't experienced many bugs which is new for them. But this is the most lifeless thing they have ever produced. You will sit at more loading screens that gameplay. Fast travel basically becomes the norm because there is almost no real exploration. Ground combat leaves a tremendous amount to be desired. Very floaty and not at all crisp. Ship combat feels half thrown in. The story is very dry. The AI have no life to them. Graphics are decent in some areas and then look multiple generations old already. 30 FPS is tolerable but is noticed more often than not. If this is the best Xbox can get one of their premiere studios to produce then they wasted a lot of money buying some of these studios. It makes sense why they didn't market this game very much until the last month or so. There is nothing to really show off. This feels like it was built by an indie studio that only had a few years to complete it. I am honestly baffled at how bad this is and hope there will be many updates in the future to rectify the copious amounts of problems. I am so glad this came to Gamepass because I would have felt absolutely cheated had I bought it.

This is a truly terrible game. It makes sense why the franchise lay dormant for so long. The controls for the movement and combat are actually really great. It's leaps and bounds better than previous titles which was cumbersome and antiquated. But that's not saying much since the last AC game was made in the PS3 era. I would hope that part improved. And it did. The art direction is something Fromsoft always nails too. Perfect there. Unfortunately outside of that the actual game is poorly done. Some missions only last a couple minutes. It doesn't even make sense why we would do what we did. It doesn't really add to the story -- not that there really is one because this is FS. And all in all just feels pointless. The AC battles are really not that interesting. The boss battles are horrendous. It's literally just a brute force DPS race and hoping you get lucky. There is no skill involved in this game. I played some of the older AC games back on PS1 and 2 and I knew what this game was. I just thought they would have evolved it more. I never thought it needed to be Dark Souls. But what they produced feels half baked at best. This title is a big let down for me and what we got felt more like a $30-$40 game that they marked up because of the Souls successes.

This game is NOT approachable for causal fans as so many seemed to have stated. I bought it for the single player RPG stuff. So I am not even talking about the PvP side which I would know that if you don't plan to eat, sleep and breathe a fighting game, don't bother. But the single player side is truly terrible. Get ready to be required to over level for every mission and encounter you face. The game is completely lopsided in this regard. I can be 5 levels over a boss and he still kills me in 4 shots and I have to hit him 30 times. Completely imbalanced I assume to pad out that worthless side of the game. Besides the goofy art style, the fact that there isn't even dialogue, or a number of the other cringe this game has in it, the fighting and world roaming RPG element is among the worst I have ever seen. Don't buy this game unless you are a diehard, no life Street Fighter veteran.

I am on console and have only experienced one crash in my first 6 hours of play with no other real performance issues. So i don't have a problem with that. I like the characters and the story thus far. But that's about where it ends for me. Combat is cumbersome and poorly thought out. Some of the puzzles are senseless. Like, they literally put some small piece to the equation that has no clue whatsoever and you either spend hours to dumb luck into it or just watch a small piece **** for it. I am not kidding. Small pieces of "puzzles" that move the game forward that have no sensibility whatsoever. You'd spend hours looking just for some obscure thing you need to move that has no clue to it. Wait for a deep sale. This game was clearly rushed and poorly thought out. The graphics are nice and so are the environments too.

This is an all time low for Bungie and that's something I thought we had finally moved past after the initial launch and first year of content. The story telling in this is painfully bad. And this is a looter shooter that I don't think many have too high of an expectation for. But even at this it's bad. The new characters they introduce are uninteresting and unappealing. You'll wish you could just mute them. They basically nerfed everything across the board. They now call it reworks though. A new expansion with no new legendary weapons (all reissue or reskin), nothing new for the core playlist, nothing new as far as activities, a mostly empty planet that again doesn't let you actually go to the coolest looking parts. This is by far the worst expansion because it's $50 and at this point in the Destiny life cycle this should not be happening. This is clearly a filer expansion so do yourself a favor and wait to get it on sale. I don't think it will take long to get there.

I have never been much of a Harry Potter fan. I think it was a little bit past my time. But this game intrigued me because I like open world RPGs. I have only been in for a few days but they really nailed it here. The story is good. The fighting mechanics are very well done. The map is dense and feels very alive. You can easily get lost in the vastness of the school or out in the world. And I am so glad it's not a live service game. I am so glad to see the amount of people avoiding the ridiculous boycott because the time and energy they development team spend on this game clearly shows.

Really enjoyed the extension of the new look God of War. I think they were robbed at the game awards too. For me this was game of the year. It's very accessible to everyone and really just stuck true to the formula the first one created so well. I will admit they didn't blow me away with anything new. But sometimes that is ok when the formula works so well. All in all I think this game is just really well done from the art to the sound to the music. The combat does lack for me from time to time. But I think it does a good job and coupled with a great story and wondering acting/dialogue, this game really was done well. True game of the year game right here.

I am just rating the campaign. Very below average. Same military tropes American media always push. Bad white male US military people are stopped by a small group of globally diverse people at the very last second. I would say that half the missions were pretty fun and engaging and the other half were insanely bad. This campaign is the worst COD campaign I have ever played. Extremely disappointed in it. This feels more like someones art project than an actual game -- which is shocking it took so long to develop. You don't do much of anything besides solve random puzzles and walk very, very slowly. The art style and atmosphere are superb though. There are almost no controls, no story, and again, it's painfully slow. These are the kinds of "games" that make me feel like my Gamepass is worth it -- cause I would have been upset if I spent money on this. It's worth a go if you have the Pass. It might be worth it to some who really enjoy the Alien type atmosphere. It's not for people who actually enjoy playing games though. Don't let the people here who judge this just based on its concept along fool you, this is barely an actual game.

I’m sorry but you leave “old gen” consoles behind because you don’t want to be “held back” and then not only produce a game that doesn’t look any better than a PS4 game, but doesn’t even run at 60 FPS? And then you want to charge $70 for it? This is unacceptable. Wait for this to go on sale when it will then be appropriately priced. Something tells me it won’t be long either. It’s a game that will still be worth playing, just not at full price is probably the best way I could put it.

Arguably one of the worst games I have played this year. I really like the characters and I was enjoying the story for most part, but the gameplay is beyond terrible. Feels like a game that was made in 2010. This should have been $30 max. I couldn't even make it through the story before I just quite from a combination of boredom and the bad gameplay. It feels like there is no real balance. All the enemies are bullet sponges. Bosses have nothing special to them. This is a half baked product that once again was hyped up by content creators and maybe just diehard Boarderland fans. If you aren't either of those, save your money. This game is bad. I gave it 4 stars because the actors who voiced the characters did a wonderful job and the story itself was pretty entertaining at times. It just isn't enough to carry it through utterly disappointing game mechanics and a UI/UX system that seems like it was created by a first time developer.

This game is NOT accessible to everyone despite what the paid reviewers have said. I should have known as most content creators are just looking to get paid, not actually be helpful in any way. I had some experience with From games going in. I did almost beat the base game Dark Souls 3. I did play a bit of Bloodborne. So it’s not like I came in blind or unsuspecting. But watching footage and listening to “reviewers” say this game is accessible gave me hope that maybe this would be a more fun version of the previous titles I played through. Nope. This is just as painful as any other souls game. And what’s worse is I convinced a friend to pick it up thinking that and he had zero experience with these kind of games and basically ally wasted $60. I’ve put around 30 hours into the game. I’ve over-leveled myself because I just wanted to experience the game and the world in a more casual fashion. I don’t care to be a pro at this game. The open world is fantastic. It’s one of the best open world maps I’ve ever seen. Extremely dense. No place is the same. Packed with stuff to actually find and see. It’s filled with caves and dungeons and open world bosses everywhere. I can’t even count the amount of enemy types. So the world, the combat, the exploration, are all top notch as usual. But it’s brutal out there. I often find myself dying still in a few shoots to almost anything. Arrows and rocks are buried from across the map from enemies that will destroy you. Trying to get out of combat just to use your map again is tedious. I guess I expected the open world part to be more casual and to have a decent way for leveling but this is not the case. Glitch farming methods are the only real way you can even level in this game and it’s no wonder everyone cheeses them. Questing is absurd. I understand and accept that this is how From does it. I’m not here to try and change it. But doing quests is insanely confusing, and I just end up watching guides because I don’t want to spend hundreds of hours and multiple play throughs to do them. Many quests can be missed. Bosses themselves haven’t been too bad depending on play style. But again, I over-leveled with a broken farming method and play a Mage so I’ve got range and a general OPness to me. But even at that you still die in a couple shots if not careful. So anyone who thinks they can over-level to the point of 1 shoting bosses or tanking all their attacks will be let down. I hate when gaming companies do this — lure you into a false sense of being powerful. I think that happens here. Even though you can get more powerful in ER than any other game they’ve made, you won’t really feel it and still die a ton. I think a 7 is very appropriate for this title. There’s still plenty more to say, both good and bad, but I digress. It’s a good game. It’s not game if the year. It’s not game if the decade. It’s just a really solid game from a really solid developer. It’s just a game that’s not meant for everyone, despite how much I hate that statement and think it’s a terrible one. If your not a Souls player and lover, this game is not a entry to it.
