Remembered my metacritic account just to Vent on this piece of **** movie Short Answer: No **** this movie ten fold If anything find whose running the marketing on this film and pulverize him or her into the **** ground for doing an immensely good job of over-selling you what is effectively a decent horror movie on paper but a rather **** one in execution I hated the Lead Girl for some reason and sure enough felt vindicated by then end when the Reveal came The sound design being the only true selling point of the flim, other then that, Ive seen other movies pull off what this movie tried to do better Could’ve been a podcast and it would’ve worked out better in the end If you want to sit through this Crap, youll see exactly why this one in particular pissed me off
Yes. Take Your Bae to go see this because its really damn Good The fact that it was a Rom-Com Slasher had me pleasantly surprised because I went in expecting it to be more heavy on the horror Mason Gooding (given this dudes magnificent Charisma) carries the film almost entirely on his back but the plot, character chemistry and inevitable romance and the villian motives all tie up rather nicely at the End Being generous, 9/10. Left cheesing all things considered
No. Overhyped, and misses all the momentum it had building up since the beginning. Maika plays a **** block of Wood "special" detective who has some connection to Longlegs and can sense/detect/psychic **** but that gets dropped 30 minutes into the film Nicholas Cage, who is only in the movie for about 15-20 minutes total is some Gene Simmons looking knockoff satanist and does pretty well acting wise but his reveal "superpower" is honestly what killed the Plot and everything it had going for it in the final act of the movie. Not my Cup of Tea, especially when it pulls such a sudden **** U-turn in the last 20 minutes into an almost completely different flick compared to how it started. Marketing was also a huge **** Lure. If I could sum this up, It'd be a psuedo-intellect or poor man's "Zodiac" or "Seven" **** this Film
No going to Lie, this one is a hella Nice bowtie-wrap on the Trilogy. X was a Slasher and was ok
Pearl was more of a character study of a crazy **** who went over the edge with all the signs blatantly **** there and more of a slow burn But Maxxxine was Fun, Vibrant and had really good characters sort of come and go but fulfill their role perfectly around the Plot The Center of it all, Maxxxine (herself) kept the plot pretty engaging and thrilling from start to finish, in an almost weird way, if you look at this movie like a glorified limited series, it Hits. Worth the Watch!
Hell Yes Felt like "Casino" for motorcycle club enthusiasts, Loved Austin and Tom and a whole bunch of dudes in there that made the experience a Banger. Almost feel like watching it a couple more times it was that damn good.
