Resident Evil Requiem2
Mar 8, 2026
I really disliked Resident Evil 9: Requiem. The first 1–2 hours are scary, but that feeling disappears quickly. The main reason is the very basic stealth mechanic. Enemies follow ridiculously simple patterns, making them easy to predict. Because of that the tension fades, and you’re constantly aware you’re just playing a game instead of feeling immersed.Because of this, many enemies the game clearly wants to be memorable or iconic end up feeling nerfed by how simple and predictable their behavior is. So this entry failed to give me any new cool or memorable enemies compared to previous titles in the series. Earlier games had iconic monsters and encounters, but Requiem didn’t leave me with anything that really stood out. The Blind Stalker is probably the closest they got, but even that ended up more disappointing than **** new main character, Grace, is also frustrating. She runs obnoxiously slowly and often seems incredibly stupid, which makes it hard to believe she’s even an FBI agent. I ended up quitting the game around 15 hours in. No thanks.

Dying Light: The Beast8
Oct 5, 2025
As someone who loved Dying Light 1 but really disliked Dying Light 2: Stay Human, I went into Dying Light: The Beast with low expectations. I’ve now finished the main story and most side quests, and to my surprise, DL3 feels like a genuine return to form. Gameplay: This is where the game shines. It’s a true throwback to DL1’s core mechanics — fast, brutal, and addictive — while also pulling in some of the better elements from DL2 and its DLC The Following. Combat feels tight, parkour is fluid, and the ragdoll system (which DL2 butchered) has been fixed. It’s simply fun, the way the series was meant to be. Horror & Atmosphere: My biggest fear was that the game wouldn’t be scary. DL2 failed miserably here, but DL3 restores that tension: nights are genuinely terrifying again. Creeping through the nights gave me the same chills DL1 used to — mission accomplished. Story: Let’s be clear: nobody plays Dying Light for narrative brilliance. DL1’s story wasn’t groundbreaking, but it gave just enough purpose to make the world and gameplay engaging. DL2’s story, on the other hand, was so bad it actively ruined the experience. DL3 sits in between: for much of the game, I actually thought the writing had improved, even edging out DL1 at times. But the final mission dropped the ball hard, and overall I’d still put DL1’s story slightly ahead. Don’t expect The Last of Us here — and if you are, you’re playing the wrong series. Music & Presentation: The soundtrack tries to echo DL1’s iconic vibe, and while it hits some nostalgic notes, it’s underused. Too many moments fall silent when music could have elevated the experience. A missed opportunity. The “Beast System”: I was skeptical, thinking it would make the game too easy, but after playing on Brutal difficulty (which I highly recommend), it turned out to be a solid addition. Balanced, fun, and fitting — no complaints. Final Verdict:Dying Light: The Beast doesn’t bring much new to the table after so many years, but it doesn’t need to. For someone like me, who after the DL2 disappointment only wanted to experience the thrill and fear of DL1 again without replaying the same game, DL3 is absolutely worth it. It successfully recaptures what made DL1 special, adds in some welcome tweaks, and avoids most of DL2’s disasters. Just don’t expect miracles in storytelling, and you’ll have a blast!

Dying Light 2 Stay Human0

There was absolutely NO REASON for this game's creation, and no reason for you to waste your money on either. You want a fun zombie game with parkour in it? Go play the first game. It still holds up as the better half. STORY:
Techland just refuses to admit they're no good at storytelling. They already failed in making a compelling liniar story in the first game, what made them think a story with choices (which is far more demanding) was gonna work out any better? The story was unbearable to get through ontop of such garbadge voiceacting. Why would I care for how much choices I have when I don't care about anything going on? Take "The walking dead" season 1&2 by Telltale games for example, which btw its sole gamemechanic is choices, I very much enjoyed these games. Despite having barely any of its choices truly matter I still enjoyed every opertunity I got to invest in it's story, because I CARED FOR IT. Not for Dying light. Do NOT BUY for its story. OPEN WORLD/ EXPLORATION:
Here I can see people argue there has been improvements. For me, overall it's a strong NO. The open world has more fun layouts for you to interact with as you parkour, yes but there are no fun encounters, sidequests or gratifying loot to find. It was just no fun whatsoever to explore.
Weapons break so fast you don't even care when you find a ledgendary weapon, and where the hell did all the weapon blueprints go?! That was my favorite loot in the first game! GRAPHICS:
Who cares? It's Dying light, it has never been at the forefront for this game. Gameplay and exploration is what makes or breaks in this game. Graphics has been improved no doubt, but nothing to be competing with other triple-A-games in the industry. So if you're expecting great improvements in the looks department after 7 years from its predecessor you're out of luck.

One of my favorite top 5 story driven games of all time. Charaters interesting if not lovable. The pacing of the story is brilliant. Gameplay not anything innovating but I had fun with it.

Trash sequal. Do not play it as a sequal. It’ll only spit on you. If you play it as a game on it’s own, it’s still trash. It’ll give you a story for the sole purpose of shoving down your throat the beat the dead horse message ”revenge is a fools errand and that violence is bad”.
