The Signal does a good job of splitting its story into two storylines that are well-defined, bringing the viewer along on the show’s central mystery in a way that keeps them interested without jerking them around.

The climax comes too abruptly, and the buildup dissipates due to relatively mundane realizations. While it’s hard to fault The Signal for reaching for the stars, in the end, its reach exceeds its grasp.

A strange, mysterious four hour series. The two main leads, a father and daughter, are very watchable. What this series gets at very well and somewhat uniquely is the growing groundswell of public hope, coming from the cultural fringe, of a positive future for humankind on Earth, influenced by positive, not negative aliens. Star Trek embodies this hope in fiction. In real life, check out the hopeful vibe of Dr. Michael Salla's ****

The build up and the cinematography are good but the ending is terrible, don't waste your time watching this, I'm not going to spoiler the ending but it's so dissappointing it ruins the whole series, such a shame because it could have been excellent.
