This is less fan-centric and more boardroom-based than the debut series but what ultimately emerges once more is a poignant tale in which the unwaveringly loyal locals become the protagonists.

I'm almost through the first season, and I'm absolutely hooked. I've never seen a documentary like it, with its depiction of what a sports club means to its fans — and here, given the very hard times that this working-class city has fallen upon, it's EVERYTHING. There's a lot of heart here, and a commitment to get to the root of the problems, which are personal but also very much financial. Fascinating, frustrating, heartbreaking at times, and ultimately very human.
