Everything glows. One hopes for a happy ending, of course, but what matters most is shape and color, the abstraction of rain on stone, the sun through the trees. It makes Samurai Jack endlessly rewatchable: Every picture tells a story.

Genndy Tartakovsky is the world’s greatest living action filmmaker, and Samurai Jack, which starts its fifth and final season on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim March 11, is the most aesthetically daring series on TV. Amazingly, both statements were true back in 2004, the last time Samurai Jack aired new episodes.

An Incredible Show that I take inspiration from in my everyday art! I love Genndy Tartakovsky's work, he is a master of his craft and this totally shows. Even as a kids show, Samurai Jack is at it's best when it is showing and not telling!

It’s hard to tell if this tighter approach to episodic storytelling will reach a satisfying end, since Tartakovsky excels more at bringing us into the heat of the moment than exploring a bigger picture. But he’s off to a promising start. Jack may not be back from the past just yet, but Genndy Tartakovsky has certainly returned to form.

This is mainly for the fifth season of Samurai Jack! I didn't enjoy the first and last the episode that much but the rest of the eight episodes are just masterful pieces of art! While I wouldn't say I liked the ending for the last episode is this fanmade video and the official “true ending”, so I like to imagine that instead of the ending we got! But it still doesn't excuse the lacklustre ending. This would be a 9/10 if it weren't for the ending but still is one of my favourite pieces of TV ever!

Una serie animada increiblemente innovadora con toques de pelicula. Sin embargo, tengo que criticar que a veces se pone muy muda (como mas de la mitad de un capitulo), una continuidad algo extraña y el antagonista principal pudo haber sido muchisimo mejor.
