This is hardcore espionage with a mainstream sheen, headlined by a rock solid star of the genre. After 10 minutes, it will become the best thing on the streaming service alongside Jon Bernthal in American Gigolo, or anything at all with Patrick Stewart. Audiences will begin to mourn the passing of each episode, as it becomes apparent that their time with John Weir is dwindling.

With all of the twists and reveals in “Rabbit Hole,” these guys have set an awful hard pace for themselves for the remaining episodes, and it could be a challenge to keep the story’s momentum. ... For now though, it’s worth enjoying the ride.

“Rabbit Hole” is one of those shows where nobody is being completely honest with one another and when someone says, “Can I trust you?,” you wonder why they bother asking. Of course no one can be trusted! That’s part of the fun.

It has to keep light on its feet, but, if you stop to think about it for a moment, its shortcomings may become too much to overlook. If Rabbit Hole can maintain the balance between its silly thrills and a no-frills story, its goofy pleasures have the potential to only grow more fun.

There’s fun to be had in watching him [John Weir] miraculously evade capture. ... Because most of us are programmed to find the ranting paranoia of conspiracy theorists dull, Dance has his work cut out. It’s all you can do to prop open your eyelids with matchsticks as he sings another of his yaddering arias about “the algorithms of control”.

"Rabbit Hole" is ultimately for the hardcore Kiefer Sutherland fans only, who can forgive the inane plotting to get a hit of that Jack Bauer thrill back again. Going down this “Rabbit Hole” only made me want to watch “24” again. Heck, maybe even “Designated Survivor.”

Still, halfway through its eight-episode season, Rabbit Hole feels like one of those marketable combinations of talent and concept that, when it comes to execution, seems to be going nowhere fast.

Exciting high-tech crime series with an outstanding Kiefer Sutherland in the lead role. The tension is there, the story grabs the viewer and also the supporting roles, all very well chosen and cast. EVERY episode is exciting and made to a high quality. AWESOME! TOP! BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO!

Watchable and pretty good spy series that relies too much on twists and turns. The paranoia elements are good, but the story felt full of itself! Lots was predictable despite trying to hide behind twists in the story. Acting is decent enough, in particular the protagonist and his lawyer friend. On ITVX, far too many adverts, completely spoilt it for me! Worth watching if you can find a version without adverts every 10 minutes!
