A series that is wildly imaginative, nuanced, patient, granularly detailed, surprising, smart and fun. And Seehorn’s performance, basically playing an unlikable jerk, is amazing.

The former Kim Wexler carries the whole show with a deeply resonant, powerhouse performance that takes us from harrowing tragedy to dry-wit comedy. .... This show would keep you thinking.

Loved it. Fun and smart. Great performances. Interesting characters. Slow unraveling mystery

It's made with such confidence, such artistry, and such joy, that I felt reassured throughout that I was in the hands of a master storyteller — a feeling that precious few recent series, even ones I love, have been able to provide.

This is a series about what happens when human empathy is stretched to its limit. Pluribus seems to suggest that progress that moves too fast will ultimately break things, and waiting to see where and how it breaks makes for some exceptionally compelling storytelling.

After quickly establishing the premise, Gilligan shifts into low gear; this is a slow series, yet never a boring one. Great tracts of time pass without dialogue. For most of the way it’s Seehorn’s show, and she’s marvelous.

Vince Gilligan has taken a tried and true sci-fi idea and turned it on its ear with Pluribus, which goes the Invasion of the Body Snatchers route in a pretty fun and compelling way.

Pluribus is by no means bad. Seehorn is excellent, the premise is interesting, and Apple TV’s production work is as polished as ever. But it just isn’t gripping, feeling instead like a satire that’s unsure what, or who, it’s satirising.

Unique alien invasion story that should have been a movie. Cons: I'm not a fan of shows that don't have at least 10 episodes per season, and this show suffers from being the length of a limited series. Pluribus easily could have been a movie honestly. If a story can't last for at least 10 episodes a season, then it should be made into a movie, not a TV show in my opinion. TV should be for long-form content only. I'm tired of everything being a limited series. The reason I think this is because the story tends to drag a bit with not much going on in many of the episodes, making this show kind of un-rewatchable. It's fun the first time around when you don't know what's happening and are discovering everything for the first time along with the main character Carol. However, I don't know who would take the time to rewatch all 9 episodes again after figuring everything out. If Pluribus was a movie, then this would be a different story. Pros: It's a very unique premise for an alien invasion story. The plot is very unpredictable. I remember always being on the edge of my seat whenever Carol tried to press the hivemind's buttons to test their limits of what they would let her get away with. The mystery of the hivemind's nature that unfolded throughout the show was also very engaging. The creepy and mysterious vibes were on point throughout the entire show.

If this was truly Gilligan's own idea , and not the Hollywood - Sillicon Valley unipartys , then maybe there are still glimmers of his original ideas on showcase in Saul and Bad. But there is something extremely eery about this show. It's beyond irony to make a show this proud of pushing the most hard-core woke , AI and globalization promotion , and wrap it in a script about an Alien Hive mind neurological cult takeover. I have to give it to Apple and Co. This is at least the most creative way of erasing straight white men from the Western tv screens so far , and there have been a good bunch of attempts by now. I really like Rhea Seehorn, the points I did give are solely for her acting. But this show and by extension this Era of film and TV writing is getting scary. It's like we're ( like in the script , wink) prepped for a worldwide uniparty that hates the whole unique European culture that gave this world most of its modern tech in the first place . I guess , there's even irony in that bit itself. The vanguard of the Alien Invasion in this show (or whatever they call it ) is already here, it's the woke anti Western culture crowd , and -- AI pushers from all sides.

Extremely slow-paced and not in a good way. Pacing is good. Slow burns can be effective. But this is essentially a great idea for hard-sci and then... well that's it...
