From the triumphant scenes in which Maddie and David rekindle their relationship inside a World of Warcraft-like video game to Chanda’s disturbing encounter with the ghoulish remains of UIs past, the wildly inventive Pantheon paints an online world as a place of boundless possibility, a lifeless digital abyss, and everything in between.

The plot somewhat inelegantly switched modes at the 11th hour, stuffing in as many ideas as it could before credits rolled. But even despite its issues, this story aimed for the stars, melding its high-flying ideas with affecting drama. The result is an ambitious, imperfect, and thought-provoking sci-fi series that forces you to stop and look toward the future, however uncertain and frightening that may be.

Marvellous show. Excellent animation and voice acting. But the real standout here is the plot. I love how it weaves compelling character arcs between ethical and philosophical questions. And just when you thought they were done blowing your mind, they pull another crazy twist. I especially liked that the cliffhangers tended to be more cerebral than cheesy, à la A Thousand Nights. Hard recommend.

I loved this show mostly because the technology crisis the plot is about is not just limited for some dozen people's internal drama like how many sci fi stories are, but actually effect the society and feasibly be an age defining event. Season 1 was great overall for the UI story but season 2 is a different great as in a good feasible storytelling for these extreme new level unlock powers. I have thing for stories where some sci fi tech is used to its full capability and actually change everything.

Buoyed by an excellent voice cast as well as Titmouse Animation visuals that are sharp, emotive, and imaginative, it’s a bold attempt at creating a unique streaming sensation, all of it revolving around a captivating conceit: uploaded intelligence.

It’s a portrait of a rapidly changing world that takes care to document the emotional carnage left in its wake, to gripping, troubling and ultimately quite moving effect.

Not all of Pantheon’s ideas are original, but they’re combined into something profoundly ambitious and fundamentally optimistic about humanity’s future, which feels perfectly timed for the cultural moment – even if these episodes were completed more than two years ago.

There is an adjustment period required by “Pantheon”—one needs to reconcile the almost guileless quality of the imagery with the dauntingly futuristic tale being told and the disquieting notions being proposed. All in all, it’s worth the effort.

The creators of “Pantheon” dive deeper into their concepts with each of the four episodes sent for press, sometimes too obviously underlining their themes instead of letting them feel organic, but there’s no denying that this show casts a unique spell that grows with each chapter. My initial apprehension after the premiere had given way to curiosity.

Despite being Sci-fi, it's about the relationships between people and how technology affects these relationships the whole way through.

One of the best Sci-Fi shows out there. It starts slowly but gradually builds up to one of the most interesting endings I've seen in a while. If I would have to use one word to describe it I would say: Unforgetable

Even though it's animated, it's more realistic in executing its ideas and concepts as opposed to most sci-fi movies.

Soap opera level drama with a callous adult overtone. Having this in the format of a cartoon creates even more dissonance. I would’ve been able to stomach it with real actors.

Great idea and I'm a **** for the whole uploading the mind trope, but this is kinda boring. I slogged thru the first episode, but it's just not very compelling. I may tey one more episode. If it doesn't pick up, I'm out.
