on season 1 now - characters believable, story flow is steady and feels right, some actors play really poorly, but mostly its a good and interesting show. Watching after Agents of Shield - the worst Marvel show so far, so might be biased, because Agents of Shield are so bad

At this point, there’s no doubt that Jessica Jones was a rare outlier in Marvel’s TV universe. More than a superhero series, what it offers is a psychological thriller tinted with noir, led by a tormented, cynical protagonist who stands out as much for her emotional honesty as for her refusal to follow genre conventions.Since the very first season, the show has had its own tone: harsh, melancholic, deeply human. Jessica isn’t trying to save the world—she’s trying to survive herself and the ghosts that haunt her. As the seasons go on, this inner fight becomes more real, more painful, more nuanced. And the level of truth that emerges from that conflict is what makes the show feel raw and intimate.Krysten Ritter steps into the role with natural ease. Her sarcasm, her fragility masked by sharp wit, and her way of showing pain with just a glance are unforgettable. All of Jessica's contradictions—someone complex, uncomfortable, impossible to ignore—come through in a performance that anchors the whole series and gives it emotional weight from the first episode to the **** rest of the cast brings in equally interesting layers. Trish Walker, her best friend, and Malcolm, her assistant, are much more than secondary characters—they’re mirrors of what Jessica could be or might lose. And Jeri Hogarth, played with elegance and venom by Carrie-Anne Moss, is one of the show’s strongest additions.Narratively, Jessica Jones takes its time. It’s in no rush to build its atmosphere. It lets us live in its back alleys, in whispered conversations full of tension. Sometimes it seems slow, yes—but that same slowness is part of what makes the drama so effective. No script is perfect, and there are plotlines that could’ve been better resolved or characters that fade with time. But even in its more irregular seasons, the show never loses sight of its emotional **** what a core it is. Dark, adult, introspective. Here we find themes of trauma, addiction, toxic relationships, consent and guilt portrayed with maturity. Some arcs may be subtle, but they hit hard because they are rooted in emotional truth. This isn’t a show about epic battles—it’s about living with what’s inside, about carrying your pain and moving forward anyway. And that’s what makes Jessica such a powerful figure in this fractured Marvel ****’s a shame that Marvel and Netflix didn’t continue with it. Jessica Jones deserves a much wider space within the MCU, and her absence is notable. Hopefully Disney will recover her, along with the rest of the Defenders. Because in the dark corners of the Marvel universe, this is a rare example of how to tell a truly adult, meaningful, and unforgettable story.

Jessica Jones Season 3 is a sanctimonious, unwatchable trainwreck that makes foot-binding cloth look like a tweet. After the raw, unapologetic brilliance of The Punisher and Daredevil, this is a steaming pile of super garbage! Melissa Rosenberg’s delusional, self-righteous script pretends it’s profound while torching every character, especially Trish Walker. Jessica, a smug, hypocritical fake hero, struts around on her moral high horse, getting her mom, Alisa, and adoptive mom, Dorothy, killed through her inaction. Then, she betrays her sister, Trish, condemning her for fighting a psycho like Sallinger. Trish, scarred by a childhood under her abusive mom’s iron grip and years of powerlessness, becomes a vigilante to stop untouchable monsters. Yet, Rosenberg’s brain-dead writing reduces her to a cartoon villain, chained in the Raft like a comic-book reject, forced to choke out a “bad guy” confession. Jessica’s sanctimonious cowardice—forgiving killers like Kilgrave but dooming her own family—makes The Last of Us Part II’s preaching look subtle. She ignores Trish’s agony: her mom’s brutal murder, the torturous experiments for powers, her lifelong fight against helplessness. Rosenberg’s smug “power corrupts” drivel insults our intelligence, turning Trish’s comic-book Hellcat potential into a pathetic punchline. Punisher’s Frank Castle kills with purpose and gets a pass; Daredevil’s Matt Murdock bends rules with nuance; Luke Cage embraces gritty heroism. But Jessica Jones just lectures, with Jessica playing saint while stabbing Trish in the back. Save your time—this infuriating, pretentious garbage isn’t worth your Netflix subscription. Zero stars for Rosenberg’s sanctimonious, intelligence-insulting flop!

With many strong moments and scenes to highlight the story and rise of Jessica Jones, there are also many scenes that were slow and kinda dragged, that could lead to many viewers getting bored slowly, and some occasionally even drop the show. With a good plot, good comedy, and decent fight scenes, this movie does nothing but make you want to follow this street tier hero in their inevitable success.

A superhero I'd never heard of until the show, but one I ended up really liking. Jones is much more street-level and grounded than most heroes, with just enough powers to bring her trouble with enough threat level. Kilgrave played by David Tennant was always going to win me over as a Doctor Who fan, and I thought he was a much more adult-oriented villain than I expected an MCU affiliated project to have, but I found it very compelling as a result. Unfortunately, Series 2 and 3 have blurred into one for me as time has gone on, and I did think in general that the show began to get a little silly when Jones' mum was a superstrength villain. Season 1 is a must-watch but I wouldn't recommend Seasons 2 or 3 to people.

Masterpiece and the best Marvel show along with The Punisher and Daredevil. Jessica Jones is such a complex, deep, charismatic and well-written protagonist and anti-hero with excellent performance from Krysten Riller she is perfect casting for the character and her acting is just fantastic. First season especially is absolutely phenomenal and has one of the best most brutal villains in the entire MCU in Killgrave and the greatest story and 2 and 3 season while not quite at that level still have great storytelling and good character development for Jessica and interesting detective investigative stories. Highly recommend it excellent show with superb acting and great writing.

Jessica Jones is one of the best shows in the Netflix Marvel series. It's a mature show that deals with dark topics. Great performances by Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss. It has three seasons. The first season is the best because it has a very interesting and unique villain played by the extremely talented David Tennant. Excellent story and twists. Season one Jessica Jones is top-notch quality. If it isn't better than Daredevil, it's on par with it. The second season is the weakest of the three, but still very much watchable. Slow at the beginning, but it picks up later on. Some people didn't like the villain, but I did. The third and last season is very good. Not as good as the first one, but fairly close. It captivated me from the beginning until the end. I wasn't bored one second. Great villain, great story and great twists.

Jessica Jones causes twofold feelings after the first season. The series itself is executed at the middle level, in fact the series is more for femenists than for an ordinary viewer. The whole series holds on to the main antagonist - Killgrave, which is very specific to it super-ability. The second season is built on the relationship between Jones and his mother. From the point of view of the development of the character, he is much more holistic and interesting. But again, the season is too long. The final series gives hope that in the 3rd final season the story will finally be told to the end and parallel branches will be completed.

I must say this is dark and nontraditional hero show, and Jessica is not superhero you gonna love ...she earns her admiration after first season. She is so unique and amazing snd tv show os so dimensional and layered as if you sink deeper and deeper in the specal and dark world of marvel..These daysdark and grime is not DC world its Marvel that took the world

The first season is well written, Great pacing, excellent acting, the second season is ham handed and dull. A certain misandrist undertone seems intensely pervasive and unneccesary. The third, and thankfully final, season was a blessed end to a lack lustre series.

I'm very happy "Jessica Jones" got a final season before being shut down (like the other NetFlix Marvel shows). I enjoyed season 3 overall. Rachel Taylor as Trish and Carrie Anne Moss as Jeri gave award worthy performances. The villain of Foolkiller was sufficiently scary even though he wasnt super. The story did lag a bit in the middle but I'm OK with that. This season raises interesting questions about what it means to be super. Does that mean one can take the law into their own hands and become a vigilante? Trish says "yes". Jessica says "no". And if so, who gets to decide who lives and dies? I understand Trish's rage but it is a slippery slope. It seems that violence had become Trish's latest addiction. That's very dangerous for her and everyone around her (be they guilty or innocent). I would liked to have seen a more upbeat ending but that's probably not true to Jessica Jones (the character and the series).

This show has a great first season that lowers in quality in its second. Some of the greatest written characters and villains in the MCU.
