The weakest of all the Netflix marvel shows. It gets better in season 2 where it doesn't act as an into into the defenders.

Iron Fist isn’t a perfect series —and it doesn’t pretend to be. But it’s also far from the disaster many claimed it was. With its ups and downs, it’s an entertaining show that expands the more spiritual and martial corner of Marvel’s Netflix universe and keeps you hooked enough to want to see how it ends. The biggest issue isn’t the protagonist or the fight choreography (though they could have been better), but rather the wave of bias it’s carried since before anyone even watched the first episode.Danny Rand is a tough character. The story of a lost heir returning as a warrior monk with superpowers isn’t immediately gripping unless you connect with him early on. Finn Jones does what he can with the material he’s given. He doesn’t always shine, but in some moments, he manages to convey the inner conflict between his mystical training and the harsh reality he comes back to. Still, the heart of the show isn’t really in him —it’s in Colleen Wing.Jessica Henwick’s Colleen is Iron Fist’s real strength —in every sense of the word. Her presence, charisma, and character arc elevate the entire series. Every time she’s on screen, things get more intense, more grounded. It’s no surprise that many fans wanted her to carry the Iron Fist mantle —she truly earns it.Season one struggles with pacing, dragging certain plots and falling short with some villains. But when it works, it works well. And season two is a clear step up: tighter, more focused, and finally digging into Danny’s inner motivations. The fight scenes also improve —still not on Daredevil’s level, but better executed and more **** thing Iron Fist deserves credit for is its attempt to offer a different tone from the rest of The Defenders. It’s not as street-level as Luke Cage, nor as psychologically dark as Jessica Jones. This one leans into mysticism and identity, and while it doesn’t always hit the mark, it dares to be different —and that’s refreshing in a universe that often reuses the same ****, its execution can be flawed. And yes, it sometimes feels like a missed opportunity. But when you put aside comparisons and backlash, what’s left is a watchable show with compelling moments —and a standout supporting character who deserves her own spotlight. Iron Fist may not be the crown jewel of Marvel’s TV slate, but it certainly doesn’t deserve the hate. In a sea of cookie-cutter superhero series, at least this one tried to be something else.

Iron Fist is a cringe-inducing, culturally offensive disaster that shames the Marvel/Netflix Defenders lineup. In an age eyeing cosmic futures like Star Trek, this show peddles a vile "white savior" trope that feels ripped from a dusty, bigoted comic. Danny Rand, a whiny white billionaire turned kung-fu "master," is an insulting caricature, with Finn Jones' lifeless acting and a plodding script that makes The Punisher's brutality look like high art. Asian martial artists are either props or villains, reducing a rich culture to lazy stereotypes. Marvel's pathetic "we're faithful to the comics" excuse is pure garbage-those comics were slammed for racism decades ago! Yet, in Doctor Strange, they whitewashed the Ancient One from an Asian man to a white woman, exposing their "fidelity" as a sham. This double-standard reeks of creative cowardice. The only saving grace is Jessica Henwick's electrifying Colleen Wing, whose fierce performance and jaw-dropping fight scenes outshine Danny's every punch. Daredevil weaves grit with soul; Luke Cage owns its heroism. Iron Fist just spits in fans' faces with outdated drivel. 1/10-skip this relic for Henwick's brilliance elsewhere.

This iteration of Iron Fist had connected the Netflix universe, but aside from that, it did not portray Iron Fist to its best ability. His abilities were just portrayed as his fist glowing and growing up reading comic books, and even seeing him in Ultimate spiderman, he was portrayed more closely to his comic accurate character. This character could have been shown his abilities better, and even had dragon effects, but ultimately just had missed opportunities.

By the time I'd originally gotten around to watching Iron Fist, it had already developed a bad reputation. However, I kind of liked it episode-to-episode. The ending was laughably bad, and the show in general felt a bit more airy and filler-y than others like Daredevil and Punisher, but I had a good time watching from what I can remember. Despite this, the casting is just off, and I remember the dialogue not being great. Random episodes with Luke obviously slapped.

Too bad they couldn't keep the awesome going after Episode 5, but the character of Danny Rand stagnated as an irrational little child throwing temper tantrums instead of the wise zen-warrior portrayed at the start. It had the potential to be MCU’s best series. Unfortunately, it slowed to a crawl, luring me down Marvel’s familiar pit of disappointment.

I have watched well over 100 tv shows and this is the worst tv show I have ever seen. I could write a 3000 word essay on this show and how bad it is but all I will say is go onto Iron fist on Netflix and scroll through the episodes until you reach the last episode. Then skip until there is only 3 minutes left of the episode and watch from there. I wanted to kill my self after watching this show. Whoever wrote the script for this piece of manure as well as the director and the rest of the staff that ‘constructed’ this show should be beaten and sent to prison.

Tbh i hated it , i felt like i was forcing myself to like it just because its marvel but nah imma call it out , its terrible, really boring and feels like nothing happens throughout the whole series the best thing about it is the female lead character and she does a really good job the only thing intresting is her side story the main story i didnt care for in the slightest i felt like it dealt more harm to the main character rather than giving more reliability. to make it even worse the second season is just why , honestly sadly the was poorly executed.

The mediocre plot could have been extenuated if the Marvel's Iron Fist had other redeeming, entertaining quality, nevertheless, unfortunately, it failed to do so. The action scenes are the apex of mediocrity. The absolute absence of power and dynamics make them look like two drunken individuals helplessly swinging their arms at each other.

A very weak and boring series. Weakest from Marvel and Netflix. The plot is boring, and even too long for 13 series. The antagonist is almost useless for the plot. Fights look comical and ridiculous. The end of the first season looks so ridiculous that it even becomes interesting how season 2 will be worse.

This series as all the other Netflix marvel hero series has a certain vibe to it that mixes very well with the genre. The story and human character connections are down to earth and kept realistic even though the show has mystical and magical elements to it. The actors all did an amazing job delivering their complex characters, and combined that with the great writing and no plot armor or plot wholes script delivers an overall great story. The shots of sequences often breaks immersion but it has a feel to it which is unique to the Iron Fist. The cinematography can be appreciated for it's originality alone. The music and sounds create more immersion and entertainment **** conclusion on the other hand was messed up and gave no satisfaction or closure at that. It was a build up and a mystery that will never be explained due to the show being cancelled. Overall it's a good TV series which could have been very good if the show writers haven't messed up the ending.
