Taken as a whole, the problem with Marseilles is that not much happens once its main premise is established.

Marseille, the Gerard Depardieu-led Netflix series that dropped all eight episodes on Thursday, is not very good. In many spots, it's terrible.

It is royale-y cheesy, proof that the most risible clichés of dark American cable and streaming drama can be exported as easily as fast food.

Marsielle is a dissapointment, despite it's cast and director. Filled with predictable plotlines and cliches. The drama goes nowhere beyond it's opening scenes and premise
