“Glamorous” nails the brief: a winning and earnest coming-of-age story furnished with silly gags that speak to its specific audience.

Love the show! Saw the first two episodes and Kim Cattrall and Miss Benny are fantastic. Beyond the moon with a glamorous NY and wonderful cast.

Showrunner Jordon Nardino’s chipper but not just skin-deep show gives singer/YouTube sensation Miss Benny and Cattrall juicy roles to sink their teeth into, but all the characters are written and played well.

While Glamorous has a pretty standard fish out of water story at its core, Miss Benny’s lead performance is so magnetic that they command a viewer’s attention.

Glamorous is superficially similar [to "Ugly Betty"], and there are some likeable supporting characters. But the star of Ugly Betty was adorable. Marco is anything but.

Glamorous, which talks a big game about bravery and ambition but defaults to safe and predictable choices at nearly every turn. In the end, its shallowness dooms Glamorous to forgo the one thing Marco spends the season looking for: an authentic sense of self.

Glamorous is largely a bust. It is derivative, taking bits from Glee, Gossip Girl, The Devil Wears Prada, A Star Is Born and every wish-fulfilment fantasy in between.

The show is super fun and airy. Great for a summer binge and so much representation for people who often times get relegated to subplots.

A fun, camp, yet touching and resonating show. Easy to watch and easy to binge, the show doesn't take itself too seriously, even poking fun at itself at times. The cast really do carry the show, from the lead Miss Benny as the fantastic Marco, to Kim Cattrall as the raw yet powerful Madelyn, to the love interests of Miss Benny, and the rest of the ensemble! Is it perfect? Far from it. But if you're looking for a fun, easy to binge campy show, then this is it. It sits somewhere between Ugly Betty, The Devil Wears Prada and The Carrie Diaries - camp, unserious, fashionable and it clearly has a target audience that it's aiming at.

A young gender non-conforming **** (Miss Benny) lands a job working for a makeup mogul (Kim Catrall), which opens up a whole world of fashion and gay life go him. Catrall holds court with the kind of haughty style that's her thing. Miss Benny, who revels in lots of makeup and feminine presenting attire, actually doesn't possess much charisma and his lack of comic timing isn't helped by his whiney nasal delivery. Some of the supporting roles actually add oomph to the series, particularly Michael Hsu Rosen (the sweet bf) & Zane Phillips (the pumped son). This starts out looking like it's gonna be a zany comedy, but every ep gets progressively more serious with work rivalries and romantic life causing strife. The dialogue gets repetitive, hashing over the same conflicts and messages. The sex scenes are all off-camera, so they've provided plenty of shirtless muscular males for a tease. If this feels like a gay version of Emily in Paris, there are definite comparisons, but this series lacks the comic cleverness and overall sense of fun. (Review based on 9 out of 10 eps)

It feels very... forced, fake... full of stereotypes, the only thing relevant in this show is Kim Catrall's performance, amazing as always
