Wokeness level: off the charts. Not even a token non-bi-racial couple to be found. I hope it gave Netflix a nice ESG boost because I'm fairly certain it's not going to bring in any new subscribers.

Decent enough, mediocre story and acting, some elements are good, some are bland and not the best choice.

I love swords & magic. Dunno why but I dig shows & stories bout it so i should of dug this. But God awful acting with an even more God awful script...like really really gargantuanly terrible script just made me switch off half way through. The script writer & casting directors should be lined up for the firing squad.

Такого лютого бреда давненько не видел, меня абсолютно не беспокоит то что Артур черный, к этому давно все привыкли, но сюжет и его повороты - это нечто, такое просто нельзя снимать.

The King Arthur Legend with a female lead?
Of course! So we get this one to cross off our list, too. The setup isn't too bad, Katherine Langford is ok as Nimue, the lead character.
In the beginning she's depicted as powerful but her powers and their limits are never really established.
So sometimes, when in danger, she doesn't or can't use her powers and sometimes she does/can, depending most likely on what the script writers want to happen next. Another thing: If you want a female lead and the story is about a magic sword,
how about you cast an actress that can actually wield a sword?
Langford couldn't convince me for a second that she can win any fight with that sword.
And the fight with the wolves...cringe worthy. Which brings me to the special effects. Yes, it looks like they didn't have a big budget for CGI, but they could have used it more cleverly. But they didn't and some effects look really bad. With regard to the rest of the cast, only Gustaf Skarsgård stood out as Merlin.
Even though Merlin is depicted as a drunk, Skarsgård balanced out the characters weaknesses to have him somewhat likeable.
Father Garden and King Uther were convincing enough as villain and rivals to get hold of the sword.
But the ones that should have made an impression are Arthur and Gawain, but they were totally bland and not contributing anything substantial to the plot.
They serve as good people to talk to, to give advice and for the female lead to make love to.
I don't blame the actors. The script simply doesn't give them enough to do. Fallen victim to the woke agenda, they aren't allowed to be strong and forceful, only the women are.
Male villains, of course, are allowed to be strong and dangerous, and show all that 'tocthic mathculinity". That's their reason of being. The season's finale is surprising, but not in a good way.
They were going for a massiv cliffhanger, I guess, but the last scenes feel totally off. To wrap it up, 'Cursed' is for people who need a regular dose of fantasy fare and who aren't picky about it.
My main complaints about it are the lead's arbitrary use of her powers, her lame sword fighting, the arbitrary plot development, the pushing of the woke agenda and the lack of memorable characters that aren't villains. I don't know about you, but to me, that's too many complaints for it to be a good show.

A poor show filled with bad performances with 1 or 2 exceptions. At times, the fight choreography has painful pauses between each action that feels so much like a quick time event from a video game, I was half expecting to have to press X to make the next swing happen. No logic to the story and its really hard to care about the main characters. I think it could have been more palatable if they had just dropped the Arthurian lore.

TV show is ruined by political propaganda. Black Arthur? Really? Lesbian nuns in the church during middle ages? Really? It's laughable. Just to please minority, they are trying to falsify history and folklore. It's a same if someone would make TV show/movie about Muhammad Ali and make him white or Mike Tyson and make him white. It's stupid, because it's inaccurate and basically falsifying things. Well, it's from Netflix, so what could we expect?

I AM in Love with the actress that plays nimue, she is very beautifull, the story is very good and the landscape and scenarios are really beautifull.

Cursed is a fantasy retelling of the Arthurian legend that despite its best efforts, falls victim to poor storytelling, and at best a decent cast of actors. The main cast of actors do fairly decent job (including the characters for Nimue, Arthur, Merlin, and the main antagonist), however they are surrounded by supporting actors that do a poor enough job to bring the entire experience down several notches. Pulling some additional talent may help this, however largely the acting thus far has been serviceable, but not great. The story itself...works. If you have low standards, you may find it enjoyable at times. The plot meanders along at a leisurely pace, despite the seemingly frantic events going on about the main characters. This is made far worse by flashback after flashback which kill the pacing, filling in details that could just as easily be filled through context or dialogue. As an example, in the first episode one main character loses control of their magic and nearly kills someone, giving context for why the village doesn't like them. In the next episode, almost the exact same scene happens, establishing the same information, but in flashback form. Please, respect your audience to be able to fill in blanks, not every answer needs to be explicitly given, and definitely not multiple times. In terms of the production values of the show, they're decent. The setting is interesting enough, though doesn't feel lived in. Costuming looks usually authentic, with some strange looking outfits here or there, but not overly noticeable. Sets are for the most okay, however certain areas feel like they got skimped on the budget. The occasional CGI for the most part looks either surprisingly good, or distractedly bad. A good example of this is a number of CGI wolves in the first episode that look fine in still shots, but have strange floaty movement when in motion. Not bad, but definitely distracting. Overall Cursed is fine. Of all the things to call this show out on, I'd say the story suffers the most from far too many flashbacks, paired with acting that is on par at best. I'd be interested to see what the show can do with a season two if they get a larger budget to fill out their acting cast, and if they could streamline the story cutting out unnecessary bits. If you're done with Game of Thrones or The Witcher and still need more fantasy itch scratched, this might work for you. But dont expect to be yearning for a second season.

Great acting, set design and gripping story. Bingeworthy series, and will likely pick up the comic it’s based on.

It’s super fun! The writing isn’t great, the acting is a bit wooden, but the bar isn’t too high right now. I don’t mind it being a bit of summer fluff. It’s cute, like the outpost but with better fight scenes and a slightly better plot. I live girl power shows, and who isn’t disappointed what they aren’t all great? This one isn’t bad and does a fair job of keeping me entertained, and. That’s the point, right?

The best of this series is in visual aspect has a great photography, music that accompanies the feelings and emotions of the character and the viewer, camera movements very well executed good costume design and a great pre-production and production, the only flaws I find or are due to the fact that the performances could be much better and the post-production failures, otherwise it is something fresh in this fantasy genre Mediaval, Interesting characters though having Frank Miller in their ranks hoped that the story would be quite better but it does not become unpleasant at any point. It should also be emphasized that in the fighting scenes are well done, with a great choreography, done almost perfectly, and the CGI, although, could be better executed, on some occasions it’s not badly done, t’s not annoying at all.

Современный сериал со всеми вытекающими... Все силы ушли видимо на подбор максимально разнообразного актёрского состава. Остальное делали с девизом "И так сойдёт".

Cursed has a great photography, a great visual display, a great costume design, the production and pre-production are really good and some great and well executed camera movements, in general, has a good artistic and photography direction. Everything and that the actors are really good, the performances could be much better, the script is not rubbish but having Frank Miller and Tom Wheller in your ranks is somewhat loose in the first episodes, different misfortunes occur but none of them ends up importing you from the everything and this is mainly due to the failures of post-production. In short, it has a great artistic and photographic direction, it does not have the best performances but they are not an unpleassant, weak script since the creator is a great writer of great comics and success stories, but it can be save, although the CGI, NORMALLY, is fine. executed within what fits in some moments it totally takes you out of the immersive experience that this series is but still it is still good.

It pains me to do this because I love Arthurian Legend and I’m about the biggest Frank Miller fan out there, but this was just so so for me. I thought the cast was good and the first 4-5 episodes weren’t bad, but it went no where and really felt like they were killing time in hopes to get a second season. It’s kind of the same way I felt about the American gods 1st season and they had a better cast.

It does not object to women, it does not appeal to sexual scenes, to capture the attention of the viewer, a beautiful journey of self-knowledge of the protagonist, in addition to the impeccable performance of ALL the actors and all the scenes of fights and battles as well as the magic scenes with flawless visual effects, worth watching.

I'm black myself, but a black Arthur combined with wokeisms left, right and center and boring tween killed it for me. Game of Thrones this is not.

It's not the worst show, but it's not the best one. The performance of Langford it's good, but it could be better. This good-try of Arthurian legend could've at least good special effects. The plot is ok, but I hope season 2 has more to offer us.

I honestly tried to like it. But almost everything is bad about this show. Acting and plot are seems to be the biggest flaws of it. And the forced diversity put the last nail in the coffin for me.

Meh, I applaud the show for trying to be diverse etc but that's all the show seems to be, and the cutaways look like they are from CBBC in the 90's. Overall, crappy acting, everyone looks so smug all the time and the CGI is laughable. Real shame as once again, it's great to see how diverse the show is in its casting, but it definitely feels like that's all it is, some suits in a room trying to tick all the boxes to maximize profits...

A revisionist fantasy that plays very much like a mythological comic book adventure come to life. Very well edited and also amazing cinematography. The location and the set pieces and also the fact that at the center of it is a woman's story is absolutely great. The show will take its time to flesh out its story and become a forebearer of women fantasy stories told on TV following the path laid down by Xena and Buffy.

This is not a fantasy epic set in Arthurian legend - it's more like a teen drama on The CW, with the healthy dose of over-acting and shoddy directing you'd expect. However, having said that, for what it is it does it far better then most - just don't expect more.
