On retrouve dans ce nanar de luxe avec plaisir l’excellent Patrick Wilson et la non moins excellente Lena Headey en tant respectivement que mari pervers accro au cul et femme au foyer… cocue ! (cocue avec un ‘e’, accord féminin oblige). Wilson campe en effet un mini-DSK et accessoirement un ténor du barreau (sans jeu de mot… quoique !) qui se tape régulièrement des putes de luxe (il aime sans doute un peu trop être escorté par les traînées dans les chambres d’hôtel…). Partant de là, pour un gars qui veut finir premier procureur justicier, voire sénateur plus ****, cette vie quelque peu dissolue lui attire quelques ennuis… éventuellement. Le film tente de se poser quelques questions sur la vie privée et la vie publique, l’exemple -moral- à donner et j’en passe… sans compter le pourquoi du comment de la vie de jeunes bécasses qui louent leur cul à l’heure, bien entendu. Mais il échoue lamentablement sur tous les tableaux sans faire avancer le schmilblick social, politique ou moral du moindre centimètre (oh merde, on parle de centimètres, là…!). C’est donc un coup dans l’eau (quoi, un coup ?!…) pour ce film définitivement lénifiant et inutile qui s’avère d’un ennui ahurissant et stupéfiant. Sa lenteur est à citer en exemple, y compris chez les tortues sous calmants, c’est dire !

Good drama, but with television tints, politicians will always be good to explode in the field of prostitutes and their personal failures in their homes, Zipper meets the basics but it is not an outstanding film.

Giving up it completely does not erase the ugly side. It's a funny title for a serious film. I have heard the film was loosely based on a real scandal. This is the story of a federal prosecutor whose life has been decent until he becomes addicted to the escort service. As his wife is pushing him for entering the politics, on the other side, he's unable to come out of his new habit. The time comes when both these things can't go together, he has to pick the side and that brings the end to the tale. Really an interesting story aspect, but slightly I was not happy with how it was presented on the screen. Though the characters were excellent and the perfect executions by its actors. Patrick Wilson was good, even in a small screenspace Lena Headey excelled. The other characters influenced quite strongly in the film. Like their intentions over the film events which played a major twist in the storytelling. The people can go any length to achieve the bigger thing is the one of the main messages of the film. The theme was strong, but there were some weaker spots in the narrations. Although, an acceptable and enjoyable film. The end was totally unexpected, but unbelievably not that smart from the character's perspective. Surely an average film, but definitely not a bad or an awesome film. Its about the scandal of a high profile figure or at least trying to be, though everything were told from a single angle. So I hope you watch it and give an honest opinion than going against it from even before the start just because everybody already doing that. 6/10
