"The Sixth Sense" was no fluke. Unbreakable, writer-director M. Night Shyamalan's dazzling reunion with Bruce Willis confirms he's one of the most brilliant filmmakers working today.

Willis gives a remarkable, wrenching performance: He is the most fragile indestructible man ever created.

Without a doubt, Shyamalan’s best film and one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. It’s perfectly crafted from start to finish, almost Kubrick-like in its precision. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are outstanding, a true masterpiece.

A Modern Masterpiece. What if Superman came to Earth and learns that he is more powerful than normal Humans ? Unbreakable is a Origin story that focuses on the Psychological aspect of every Superhero movie. There isn't a Villain that he needs to defeat with is fists. He needs to defeat himself by realizing and accepting that he has powers like the characters in comic books. The movie is a character Study about Superheros and the Person behind these powers in that Movie its David Dunn. If you had Powers like these what would you do ?

The irony is that although Unbreakable is as compellingly watchable, stylish and intriguing as its predecessor, its ending has almost the opposite effect on the overall picture.

"Sixth Sense" fans will be intrigued at first, then disappointed.

It would be foolish to deny that Unbreakable has scenes that make you jump, but without anything resonant to apply that skill to, the film has no option except squandering its technique.
50
Far-fetched and utterly humorless, with a literally tacked-on conclusion (yes, more text on the screen), the only thing that's surprising about Unbreakable is how lame it is.
25
A potentially interesting idea deflated by the absurd proclamations of an arch screenplay and smothered under the ponderous gravity of M. Night Shyamalan's dreary direction.

M. Night Shyamalan chnged my life with this movie. Since I saw "Unbreakable" my mind changed about everything, especially about movies. This movie was an enjoyable blast for me. The performances, the story, the long shots, the color work about Dunn and Glass, the mind blowing acores by James Newton Howard... they all made me have a very good time watching this movie. To be honest, "Unbreakable" is obe of the best movies that I've ever seen.

On the one hand this hero movie is realistic and focus on the story. It is interesting how the protagonist slowly develops. Also I liked how the movie sometimes tells his story through little scenes. On the other hand it is a bit boring and has its length.

Pacing is definitely an issue here as it seems to pick up and then slow down several times throughout the film. The characters were great, The premise original and interesting. The ending is a little cliched, kind of predictable but you can feel it hitting both characters when the truth is finally revealed. Not a great movie but one at least worth checking out.

Günümüz izleyicisi için iyi bir film olmadığını düşünüyorum. Ben beğenmedim ve tavsiye etmiyorum.

Unbreakable thinks its smarter than it is, and Shyamalan is so self confident that everything in the movie feels manipulated and forced. In fact, the whole movie seems pointless. Even great actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and Robin Wright seem wooden and disinterested. Although i will admit this is a great movie for a drinking game. Every time a character mentions being sick, drink. Every time Bruce Willis and Robin Wright talk about their sinking marriage, drink. That should be a fun night.
