O melhor filme de animação que já vi, história e trilhas sonoras cativantes. Simplesmente tudo perfeito. Com certeza se conseguirem trazer uma ótima história para um possível segundo filme, ele pode conseguir ultrapassar bilheterias de filmes famosos. 10/10

I was expecting a run of the mill action **** was I wrong! What a heart warming story. Had me in tears at the end, I hope the end credit (and all the pos reviews) point to a sequel!!!

What film was everyone else watching? The animation in this film is pretty good, but the plot is like a Saturday morning TV show, extended to two hours. Are studios really this much to find good screenplays?

Ultraman: Rising has become one of the biggest surprises of the year and Netflix is ​​once again proving to be right in betting on certain animated productions, just like last year with 'Leo' and '**** film brings a reinterpretation of one of the greatest Japanese series and pop culture, but at the same time it brings new elements and an apostate narrative that the most nostalgic and old fans of the production may find strange. The film focuses much more on the development of the relationship between father and son and ends up leaving the action/fight scenes as a second element - not that the film has few scenes, but it is not the focus. And the film does this very well, it's remarkable how we manage to like all the characters presented and even improve us with a baby **** even with this change in narrative focus, the emphasis is on the aesthetics of the animation. What a wonderful thing! The film reminded me of a mix of 'Clone Wars' with a slight reference to 'Arcane'. Some scenes border on perfection, being able to be used as wallpaper and others seem to have been taken straight from a comic book. The film's photography relies heavily on the use of Neon, which conveys that futuristic feeling that the film already has and adds that extra touch of charm.Just like Nimona was last year, it wouldn't surprise me to see Ultraman: Rising being nominated for the Annie Awards or even for bigger awards, I don't know, it could be a big surprise. Just like it was when I played the movie. Very enjoyable to watch because of its narrative and especially its visual aesthetics. One of the big surprises of 2024.

Whole family enjoyed it a lot, although none except me knew about Ultraman before so I'd say it's great introduction to the franchise. We're looking forward to the sequel.

This is a great tribute to the original made accessible to the Pixar audience. I remember watching the original TV show from 1966 in syndication and loved it as a kid (this, Johnny Soko, Space Giants, amongst other Japanese imports and anime). Looks amazing while still familiar. Everything worked for me.

Ultraman: Rising is a contender for best animated movie of the year, one of the best superhero movies in years, and one of the all-time greatest American adaptations of a Japanese franchise.

While the overall story is a bit formulaic, rising is a wonderful movie with a strong emotional core throughout. As someone who has never seen anything Ultraman related before this, I highly recommend this to both kaiju fans and casual audiences.

Ao longodo filme, a animação sofre com as cenas de ação, compensadas pelo ato final, de tirar o fôlego, ainda que não saia do lugar comum. Funciona mais na relação familiar do Ultraman, e toda a origem e composição do nascimento do personagem infelizmente é mal desenvolvido, mas o fortalecimento com os laços de parentesco chegam a emocionar. Ou seja, é um filme irregular, que busca um equilíbrio. Tecnicamente não curto muito as cores escuras usadas em excesso aqui, no entanto, foram eficazes: Ultraman é um filme que funciona para crianças e adultos, com dramas reais e fotografia adequada à função de amadurecer o personagem.

It's trite, derivative, trope-y, and schmaltzy, but it's still great family fun. It has its flaws (~20 mins too long, the familial tension could have been more wisely done). But my kids loved it and it's hard not to feel its heart. My "critic" score: 7/10; my score here: 9/10 as a firm family recommendation and to give it positive buzz.

I had never seen ULTRAMAN before this movie, but I’m genuinely impressed. The dynamic between Sato and his father brings a fresh twist to the typical hero narrative. Plus, the depiction of Tokyo is incredibly detailed and realistic. The blend of story, quality, and characters is truly remarkable. This has quickly become one of my favorites.
