This lightweight thriller has an enjoyable premise.
40
Not quite good enough to leave more than a vaguely pleasant, vaguely disappointing aftertaste.
38
When it comes to being brainless, The Skulls is at the head of the class.
30
Less interested in politics than in profitably flattering the suspicions and resentments of its intended teenage audience.
25
So ludicrous in so many different ways it achieves a kind of forlorn grandeur.
20
Energetic and thoroughly brainless.

Never graduates above the boneheaded.

The concept of secret societies has captured people's attention since...forever? "The Skulls" is no different, with its intrigue and a bit of romance. Without giving away plot details, this movie was far more entertaining than the Metacritic score suggests. I actually own this on DVD and would definitely buy this on blu-ray. Most importantly... RIP Paul Walker.
