Firing on all cylinders for the first time, Araki throws in decapitation, spunk munching, outrageous visual and structural puns, Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, and a running 666 gag, all in the service of American sexual liberation. Imagine Natural Born Killers with a sense of humour.

Doom Generation is an 85-minute, darkly comic assault on the audience, laden with satirically over-the-top (and below-the-belt) violence, unending profanity and enough references to the posterior to fill a proctologic encyclopedia. Araki wants to serve up the sleaziest, crudest fare he can dream up. His efforts can only be described as successful.

This is the kind of movie where the filmmaker hopes to shock you with sickening carnage and violent amorality, while at the same time holding himself carefully aloof from it with his style. He would be more honest and probably make a better movie if he got down in the trenches with the rest of us.

Oh le gros film débectant de mauvais goût et de provocations à deux balles ! eh bah dis donc, on dirait une tarantinade qui est partie en couilles et encore, je voudrais pas paraître vulgaire, car de toute façon, je resterais loin derrière la bien jolie cocotte en la matière ! Car en effet, elle en dit des gros mots, dis donc ! ça pourrait être presque amusant si ce n’était pas aussi répétitif… mais je mets un point quand même pour ce film de merde parce qu’elle est bien mignonne et bien bonne là-dedans, Miss Rose McGowan et c’est sans doute là son ‘meilleur’ rôle, je présume… Mais à part ça donc, deux trouducs (ou deux « pédés » refoulés, on ne sait plus, je mets les guillemets, car ça parle comme ça dans le film, excusez-nous les wokos !) sont sur la même poulette très remontée, toujours remontée à bloc et très brutale. C’est presque un film de cul et en même temps, très gore (avec les moyens du bord bien sûr) sauf que c’est même pas drôle en fait. Ce nanar putassier et complaisant fait juste pschiiit très rapidement et tombe à plat comme une simple bouse inepte et sans aucun intérêt… malgré la Rose à é(pines) bien entendu. Quant à la « fin », elle atteint des sommets dans le grand n’importe quoi, le ridicule et le grotesque.
