The movie isn’t unusual-looking or surprising, but my daughter assures me fans of the show will not want to miss it. The rest of us will be immersed in warm confusion as things we just don’t understand unspool before us.

Compensating for there being nothing in the way of any Narnia or Harry Potter-style flitting between realities, this film has crunchily animated brawls every five minutes and a playful embrace of sword’n’sorcery hokum that gives it a little lift.

Critics just hate anime lmao. It was a really good movie. I took a few friends with me that had never heard of the franchise and they loved it. Granted, they play video games and like anime. As for a fan of the franchise, it was awesome! They introduced characters earlier than the book series did, but it was well done and not overwhelming to the story. If you've seen the anime or read the books/web novel, then I highly suggest going to see it!

Scarlet Bond collapses into the hourlong, supposedly epic but ultimately low-stakes multifront battle de rigueur in too much anime right now. That leaves no room to explore the story's most interesting character: Rimiru himself.

It’s visually striking, and at times somewhat overwhelming. Expect numerous sword-based battles, ogres, dragons, ancient curses, distractingly voluptuous supporting characters and, of course, slime.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond mostly lacks the animating unpredictability and sugar-rush energy of its source material.

I had never heard of this series before the film came out, but I enjoyed the film immensely. The story is well written, with interesting twists and heroic characters I can respect and root for. There is interesting magic that could be used in a role-playing campaign. There is plenty of action. The humor is handled far better than in a typical Marvel film and is actually amusing. My only complaint is that the stakes could be higher, but this is a good, fun film that I recommend to any fan of anime. If you want some background on the origin of the slime, you can find the first television episode on YouTube or at the CrunchyRoll web site. I hope this film does well at the box office; I'd love to see a sequel.

In 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Scarlet Bond', viewers are introduced to new characters as the plot unfolds, offering a storyline that may feel like a longer version of a typical episode from the show. The movie delivers a mix of drama, deception, humor, and Rimuru's signature solution to most problems: devouring everything in sight. Continuing from the events of the Second Season, the narrative of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond' centers around Hiiro, the presumed-dead brother of Benimaru, and his companions, who find themselves entangled with a cursed princess, demons, and a flurry of action-packed sequences. With its gripping storyline and compelling characters, Some fans may find that The absence of a cohesive narrative structure and sufficient character development may not initially appear to be a critical flaw for an anime spinoff, particularly for a series like "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," which has already established its unique and ever-evolving conceptual eccentricities over two seasons. However, in "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond," the various sub-plots fail to coalesce as effectively as they typically do in the show. If you're new to the series, you might find yourself underwhelmed by this movie, as it lacks the unexpected twists, comedic gags, and action sequences necessary to sustain its convoluted plot. But over all i did Like it and would recommend it to People Once again, "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond" boasts stunning artwork and features a superb Japanese voice cast, advocating for subs over dubs. Despite its narrative shortcomings, the movie offers an engaging visual experience and top-notch voice performances that fans of the series will undoubtedly appreciate.

Since this is one of my favorite anime's of all time, i was excited to see it on the big screen with my friend. While i did enjoy my time watching it, I didn't come away feeling like this had any reason to be a movie rather than maybe 5 episodes. The animation is really good compared to the show so it was a good cinema experience, but in a couple weeks i will ultimately forget most of what happened besides the wack ending.

This film has all the problems that the TV anime and manga has. It embodies the worst of the current day Isekai troupes, mostly that the main character is always overpowered and therefore there are no stakes or any feeling of a threat to them. And this film also falls into the other Isekai troupe of having all the side characters automatically either want to be Rimuru's friend or fall in love with him. There's no stakes to this film at all. Due to this, it's boring. Even the last boss feels totally underwhelming and at the end of the film I was left thinking "is that it?".
