The Sword Art Online – Progressive films were intended to give fans something new, something a little more meaningful, and while Scherzo doesn't completely deliver, it's at least intriguing enough to make you think, "Well, maybe one more level."

Amazing movie with beautiful characters, the characters are very beautiful and the movie is very detailed and the boss fights are amazing and they are in many different atmospheres. You can see them also taking advantage of their in game menus making me want to look into the game itself. I do not understand the bad reviews, this was a generally great movie, while maybe not as detailed as something like demon slayer, it is still a great watch, however I didnt get to see the beginning (I was cursed and whenever I tried to get to the cinema I ran into some issue more than once but that is another interesting story of how I got to the movie).

Perhaps this works for gamers, or within the context of the larger Sword Art Online mythos, but it seems a painfully rote instalment – a bit like being stuck watching a particularly garrulous and boring YouTube gamer.

I really don't get what the traget group is. It is more or same as the anime, just in movie time. In contrast to the name "Progressive", they make almost no progress in the film, so there would have to be dozens more films before they get as far as they do in the anime. But where is the added value?
