This film was a revival of the subtle character known as Sherlock Holmes. Set in the perfect time period you never felt too disconnected from the film. The plot was timeless in the structure and as other characters surrounding Sherlock. You can easily understand each character's differences compared to Sherlock revealing their own personality. The antagonist was also timeless. In the sense of the overall mission he desired. Overall. This is movie lives up to its name and will definitely “register to an emotional level.”

They really did the character justice. I've read all the books, and they didn't miss a beat. Hats off to the cast.

The very idea of handing him over to professional lad Guy Ritchie (who directed Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), to be played as a punch-throwing quipster by Robert Downey Jr., is so profoundly stupid one can only step back in dismay.

interessante, medianamente interessante, em alguns momentos a repetição e insistência em tratar quem assiste como quem lê o livro, as informações estão na tela não vejo o porquê de gastar tantas falas explicando tudo, RDJr lidera o elenco que eleva o nível.

Absolutely terribly put together. I cant see how this is getting any good reviews at all. There is just too much wrong with it. The plots are weak. The story telling has holes and the pace is awkward at best. The fight scenes are laughable, not to mention pathetic for a period piece and clashes with everything Sherlock Holmes of books was about.
