Over all, this is an exciting film if not a completely cohesive one.

Breakneck chases, high-altitude jeopardy and split-second rescues upstage everything save for a flowery moral: No technological breakthrough is more disruptive than a mother’s love.

Though there are some cool moments, the film lacks the connective tissue to make an audience invest in Xia Tian’s efforts.
