Confidently dovetailing three strands that depict present and past reality, as well as a dark fictional detour that functions as a blunt real-life rebuke, the film once again demonstrates that Ford is both an intoxicating sensualist and an accomplished storyteller, with as fine an eye for character detail as he has for color and composition.

Nocturnal Animals employs one of the most inventive uses of neo noir tropes and techniques I have seen in recent years. Intense, insightful, and strangely powerful, Tom Ford’s adaptation of Austin Wright’s novel, Tony and Susan, assumes an intelligent audience.

Apart from the fact that Tom Ford made his best to show his art in a total another industry he was successful on the result at the end of the day. creating two stories at the same time bringin the the stress mode to the audience and the chemistry between characters are the main items to mention to prove he was so successful in directing such a movie. I'd say I may not watch it again not bc it's a weak movie, but bc it made me so sad and kinda gave me a hectic feeling that I dont wanna experience it once again. I confess that if a movie could make me feel like this, so it's second to none in perfectness!!!!

Jake gyllenhaal has done a classy job there which illuminates his acting skills , Too underrated actor.
Though Amy Adams has done a commendable job too along with other supporting cast but Jake stole the show.

Just bad, very bad. Absolutley not interesting story, silly acts of characters, and, thriller? Whaat? It is not thriller AT ALL. Wasting of time. Disappointed. 1.5 points just for pretty actress and 1.5 points for Gyllenhaal.
А теперь по-русски. Фильм настолько неинтересный, насколько он может быть, от некоторых действий персонажей ты КРИЧИШЬ от их тупости. Никакой развязки, никакого хитро-выебанного поворота сюжета, НИ-ЧЕ-ГО. Я потратил 2 часа жизни впустую (хотя было пару моментов, которые должны были быть страшными или удивительными, но я просто поржал от их тупости и нелепости). В общем если вы все-таки захотели посмотреть эту хуету, дайте себе пару сильных пощечин и проспитесь. 1.5 балла из трех за красивую героиню, 1.5 за Джилленхола.
