My Blind Brother

Humor here, whether situational or emotionally-based, proves a smart balance of grounded and loopy.

By the end, there’s a strange sense that the film has been both elongated and rushed in the way that it ends a few arcs, but it’s also an unusually sensitive romance that doubles as a showcase of three of our most talented modern comedic actors.

My Blind Brother takes things in some very predictable directions, and Goodhart was too goodhearted to let Scott go full-bore jerk as Robbie.

With its three leads all having appeared repeatedly in the small-town setting of "Parks And Recreation," My Blind Brother sometimes feels like an alternate-world appendix to that beloved show.

The best material gives the excellent Scott and Kroll plenty of love-hate energy: Robbie’s condescension, Bill’s passive-aggressiveness. It will look all too familiar to anyone who isn’t an only child.

It’s made watchable by an appealing cast.

My Blind Brother is mirthless, though Kroll and Slate have a delightfully easy charm that occasionally rises above the tedium.

I found this movie just weird. I mean it has some well known comedy actors, but the actual jokes were not that funny and it felt that the movie makes you feel for the characters just because one of them is blind and others are trying to help. I mean if you want a comedy - it has not much in it. If you want drama, then the story is not that good. It's watchable, but I still felt that I wasted time.
