Match has enough meaty and engaging character material to effectively sidestep the very theatrical contrivance of its plot premise, which does have a great deal of potential for reversal and counter reversal and indeed takes full advantage of that potential.

Stewart. His role is so juicy and he is so good that Lillard and Gugino just can’t keep up. Stewart fans should see the film just to see him cut loose in an arena outside the “Star Trek” and “X-Men” franchises. He is, in fact, unmatched.

Match is just the perfect example of a fresh movie, in every literal aspect of the word. The story is fresh - every twist and turn is new and you won't see it coming. Although I did a have a premonition about the hook, it didn't turn out exactly how I imagined. And the movie is just so incredibly well acted, it **** you in and takes you on this exciting ride where you get goosebumps at these haunting moments - that I really experienced en massé - as these complex characters unravel before your eyes in unpredictable and oddly charming ways. And this is the perfect description for the film: Oddly charming, but completely fascinating! If you are at all in any way interested in the art of film, you shouldn't miss this film for the world.
