Kuroneko is a bleak, ghostly revenge story of intoxicating visual beauty, which, although I'm not sure this was the filmmaker's intention, shows men's fear of women who have acquired power. Even if in this case these women obtained it because they made a supernatural pact after being **** and murdered to become ghostly figures who seek to wipe out those men who defend their barbarity and brutality in times of war. And it is a man's job to hunt them down and finish them off.
In these circumstances is the son and husband of the victims. Nourishing the tragedy in which, at its conclusion, the charred and snow-covered ruins become their tomb in a scene of spectral beauty.
