The film itself, fond and intriguing, is by no means a hard-charging confrontation. Rather, Lewins' film is an affectionate series of memories, as recalled by Ali's family and associates.

Perhaps it is the well documented life of Ali, that made this documentary ho-hum. Family members have spoke about him, writers have spoke, foes have **** know more than a bit about the icon of American Culture. And, not much added to that knowledge from this documentary. I did like the recordings he made with his children that were used, that really caputred his "outside the ring" nature. For a person who doe snot know much about this man, this movie would be a good start.
