In short, the actors deserve a big round of applause -– especially Affleck, for finally wiping the smug look off of his face (OK, 80% smug-free); Garner, for her dead sexy mix of attitude and adrenaline; and the grunting, googly-eyed Farrell, for … well, for being "fookin’" nuts, I guess.

The movie's physical violence isn't gratuitous -- it's the emotional violence that makes this a movie for grown-ups, not kids.

Ben Affleck Daredevil is my definitive daredevil and Jennifer Gardner Elektra is my definitive Elektra both embody the characters, with unique design choices for their characters outfits that i can see used for the comics especially Jen Gardner's Elektra. i read alot of Elektra comics and Jen really feel like she was rip right out of the comic pages with her portrayal of Elektra how she's conflicted and often complicated relationship with matt Murdock Jen even looks like Elektra's early iteration. the movie has a lot of early 2000's vibes with alot of songs that was popular at the time used as themes for the characters. however, that's where my complaint comes in Evanescence - Bring Me To Life for Elektra theme is cringe. it doesn't fit the movie nor the character then other songs like N.E.R.D. - Lapdance ft. Lee Harvey, Vita just doesn't fit the movie and the tone that they're going for. yes, the infamous playground scene is with elektra and daredevil is cringe.
the bullseye scenes like his reveal scene in the bar, airport scene and airplane scene all was pointless and it should've been cut from the film even in the director's cut there's even a scene in where ben's matt murdock was telling J.gard's elektra when he was telling her "she doesn't have to worry about anything" only for it to cut showing bullseye stealing a bike then cuts back to them, the movie is so poorly edited at times. like their shots that would just cut randomly as a following scene throughout the movie that takes away from the scenes. the movie has way to many subplots and doesn't have the proper run time to flush all of it out.
but besides from that, it's a cheesy comic book popcorn superhero, chick flick. Nothing to over the top campy Coolio (R.I.P) stole the show in the movie i love the elements of seeing through his vision seeing what he sees through his eyes when it rains and wherever theirs sound but also established his weakness in within specific sounds like church bells and trains. although (R.I.P.) Michael Clarke Duncan's kingpin is a hood version of comic book kingpin and race swap but he still manages to make it his own and is a highlight of this movie. its also a lowkey chick flick with the romance side plot that matt has with Elektra alot of the story takes inspiration from frank miller's Elektra debut when frank created her back in the day even has shot by shot scenes right out of the comics including bullseye's stab to Elektra. i love the soundtrack from Right Before Your Eyes Music by Hoobastank, For You by The Calling, Caught In the Rain by Revis & Won't Back Down by Fuel. makes this movie very memorable and easy to revisit to it has its charm but its not perfect but i still and will always love this movie.

The film is at its worst, however, when Daredevil takes over. That's partly because Affleck, a handsome fellow with possibly the most inert film presence of any actor since Sonny Tufts, looks ridiculous in Daredevil's red leather pantsuit and horned mask.

Though it begins as a praiseworthy depiction of a unique man, it turns into a formulaic disappointment long before the overly violent end... Comic-book adaptations must remain open to sequels, but this kind of coy cowardice is despicable.

A shame Johnson couldn't give the movie over to Bullseye, since Farrell displays more danger with a cocked brow and sharpened pencil than Affleck with pages of melodramatic mush he can't force out without sounding like a high-school drama student with a sore throat.

Kevin Smith shows up briefly as a lab technician in the miserable Daredevil, and that's a pity. This is a movie that desperately needs the presence of Smith's trademark sidekicks Jay and Silent Bob, with Smith as Bob, ragging worse than ever on his old pal Ben Affleck.

Affleck and impressively amazonian Alias star Jennifer Garner (as the ninjitsu-savvy daughter of a wealthy tycoon) are lankier than "Spider-Man's" Maguire and Dunst, which is good if you like lanky, but their relationship substitutes cliché for chemistry.

The stagnant machinery of a blind justice: A 3.0-star "vivid" but flawed drift through leather-clad grit.2008(3.0)I watched "Daredevil" (2003) in 2008, and it remains a functional 3.0-star record in my archive—a "vivid" but ultimately "stagnant" exploration of Catholic guilt and vigilantism that failed to provide a visceral "revelation." While the production attempted a "sensational" and high-tension atmosphere by infusing the Man Without Fear with a "raw" and rainy aesthetic, the narrative rhythm felt 100% inconsistent, following a "stagnant" trajectory that lacked the "chewy" intellectual depth or the "raw" human distrust found in my 5.0-star pillars. Seeing the "vivid" but "pathetic" romance between Matt Murdock and Elektra **** the fourth wall of my immersion; it felt more like a "stagnant" playground brawl than a "sensational" act of spirit. Although the sound design attempted a rhythmic energy to mimic sonar vision, the emotional payoff felt too "stagnant" for a story about "raw" loss, leaving me in a state of "silent frustration" at its inability to escape the "pathetic" tropes of the early 2000s. The 95% preservation of my memory is centered on the "vivid" presence of Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin and the "stagnant" pacing of the organ-heavy soundtrack, creating a journey that felt more like a "stagnant" ritual of style over substance. Unlike the "vivid" soul of "Batman" (1989) or the "raw" tension of "The Machinist," this theatrical encounter provided no permanent, "sensational" scar on my soul, leaving me in a state of "silent frustration" at its "stagnant" reliance on comic book cliches. It stands in my 2008 record as a "vivid" exercise in superhero production—a 3.0-star artifact of rhythmic unevenness that remained too "stagnant" to reach the "sensational" heights of my most cherished psychological archives.

Not one, but two Evanescence needledrops are bestowed upon my darkly contemplative 2000s heart in this film. Otherwise, "Daredevil" is unfortunately pretty forgettable. The studio's meddling is well known, which is why a 30-minute-longer director's cut was available years later.Over a running time of over two hours, the director attempts to unfold an epic, introspective tale of revenge that deals with themes such as vigilantism, inclusion, and forbidden love. Thanks to Affleck's woodchip-like performance as the titular spandex devil, however, the film becomes rather **** only bright spots:- Colin Farrell as Bullseye- Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin- The fight on the playgroundIn between, there are uninteresting subplots, cameos (Coolio?!), and directorial decisions that oscillate between interesting and **** the theatrical version is as entertaining a disaster as "Catwoman," then I would definitely recommend the shorter version. And fans of the comic book series seem to be quite happy with the Disney+ series. Therefore, the memory of this film will fade over time.
