Delivering knockout action and political punch, this blazing siren of a B movie imagines America at civil war with vicious force. Sequel, please.

What distinguishes Bushwick from your standard-issue, boneheaded video game is its cheeky cerebral wit.

An incredible film. I really can't understand the critics. I loved the acting, I love adrenaline and I love the ending. I loved the one-shot approach and I felt it realistic. Ok, this is a low budget movie, but is one of the best films i saw in years. I hope time will put this film where it belongs.

I loved this movie. It had a lot of action and you can tell by the liberal hate on this movie they really don't want you to see this, because if you ask me this is how it would go down.

Unfortunately, because of a variety of missteps, Bushwick never achieves what it sets out to do. It’s undone by a litany of bad decisions and the underlying weakness of the core material.

Maybe if the film gave us the relief of a satisfying ending, the grimness, the ickiness, wouldn’t be so pronounced. But it doesn’t.

There are the occasional moments when Bushwick lets on that it knows that this is all truly awful.

Realistically depicting full-scale domestic terrorism is one thing, but directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott seem unaware of how their long-take gimmick — the cuts are easily determined — destroys logic, emboldens the use of stereotypes, and kills suspense.

Their movie is a tedious slog filled with pinging bullets, show-offy long takes ripped out of the Children of Men playbook and zero humor.

Bushwick is a film with a lot of heart, and you can feel the passion behind every scene. It’s clear that a lot of love and care went into making this movie, from its raw, gritty style to the intimate performances. Dave Bautista, in particular, gives a standout performance that’s full of depth and emotion—he’s tough when he needs to be, but there’s a real humanity beneath it all that makes his character relatable and **** film’s DIY, almost guerrilla-style approach, adds a layer of authenticity that sets it apart. It doesn’t rely on blockbuster effects or over-the-top set pieces; instead, it focuses on real, human struggles in an intense, chaotic situation. That stripped-down vibe, paired with a 70s throwback feel, makes it both cool and deeply personal. Bushwick may be rough around the edges, but that’s exactly what gives it so much charm and makes it a memorable, heartfelt watch.

A decent film in a similar vein to 'Civil War'. The tow main protagonists are decent enough, although there's quite a bit of mumbling through the lines in parts. The sister is poor however and the lines she was given are terrible unfortunately. There's plenty of action throughout and it kept me watching right until the end. I liked it and would watch it again!

An interesting glimpse into a non-zombie apocalypse. It has some of the same appeal as the TV series The Strain in that we see how some typical inhabitants of NYC react to the advent of anarchy. Where the film suffers is in more resembling a journey interrupted than a story with a traditional ending. But given that the film runs a mere 93 minutes in an era overflowing with bloated fiascos running on and on and on for two hours plus, Bushwick is certainly worth a view, if action is your thing.

it's like watching a video game. the game even has a real person acting as ur avatar, going thro different stages, screaming and miraculously avoiding even the sniper shot. the only incentive to endure this video game as the ever cuddly dave with a handsome beard on. he looked even cuter with the woolen cap to cover his bald head. i disliked his look in guardian of the galaxy and the suave look in my spy, but i loved his look in this movie

Could have been a really great movie if they put some money into it. All actors except Dave Bautista are extremely horrible especially Zambrana. Very low budget but entertaining. Dave Bautista is the only one that makes it work and worth watching.
