Bullet to the Head doesn't try to adapt its star to 2013. It just pretends that we're still living in 1986. And for 91 minutes, it just about works.

To claim the dialogue is written to comfort the narratively challenged would be mere quibbling, as the picture's chief pleasure lies in its store of funny lines, which Stallone tosses off with genuine brio.

Awesome 80's throwback right here! Great action, no CGI. This is how it's supposed to be done. Sly might be getting old but he can still smash on some baddies just as good as anyone else. The axe fight was really fun. Keep it up Sly.

A total throwback to the 80's action, amazing, just amazing, you will have a great time watching this movie if you enjoy those full action movies from the past.

Bullet in the Head is a throwback to the past with its eyes trained on the present, and it proves Hill has kept up with the times.

It's a surprise that Stallone is as funny as he is playing a hit man paired with a cop in Bullet to the Head. He's man-cave witty in a way that his "Expendables" movies have strived for but haven't really managed.

It's done with affection, so it's hard to begrudge Hill for indulging in a postcard cliché or two. After all, it - like Hill's movie as a whole - certainly beats a bullet to the head.

Stallone's shtick keeps it from collapsing into farce but, overall, Bullet To The Head is too derivative and disposable to warrant serious attention.

One of most entertaining Stallone Flicks solo in years, without count the great franchise The Expendables...... A good one 80's back in time....................

Stallone does not show much emotion so movies like Rambo are a good fit for him. This movie requires him to interact with others so it's not a good fit. The story itself is over the top, although I've seen many movies about the New Orleans police being on the take, so maybe it's closer to real life then I think.

Too cheesy, but there were a lot of great blood and bullet effects. It also felt a bit too short, but it wasn't the biggest disservice to the graphic novel.

Stallone, like Scharzeneger is famous for playing dumb meatheads. Why Americans so enjoy watching dumb meatheads beat up other dumb meatheads every time they decide to go to the movies, I don't know. What I do know is that this film wreaks like something produced from a squatting position.
