Black Panther could have been just another Marvel romp—a fun but ultimately disposable entry in the studio’s catalogue. But Ryan Coogler and company had the power, and perhaps the responsibility, to do much more. And they did.

The arguments Black Panther undertakes with itself are central to its architecture, a narrative spine that runs from the first scene to the last.

Black Panther. Long live the new king! Black Panther impresses with its stylish production design, vibrant characters, and the rich atmosphere of Wakanda. More than just a superhero film, it explores important themes of cultural heritage, responsibility, and leadership. Ryan Coogler brilliantly conveys the protagonist's inner struggle, and the visuals and action scenes are stunning. The film is inspiring and encourages reflection on equality and the power of tradition. A true movie with soul!

How are there so many negative reviews?? Anyways, this films presents an amazing place and explores the heroic T'Challa, who has to deal with problems in- and outside of Wakanda. I love the story and the look of Wakanda, it totally got my attention. There's nothing really bad I could point other than the fact that the final fight between the two rulers could've been better. I think this is an amazing film that doesn't necessarily have the usual superhero things, which actually makes it even better. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman.

It wouldn’t be a Marvel production without manly skirmishes and digital avatars. Yet in its emphasis on black imagination, creation and liberation, the movie becomes an emblem of a past that was denied and a future that feels very present. And in doing so opens up its world, and yours, beautifully.

Coogler is a young filmmaker — this is just his third feature, following “Fruitvale Station” and “Creed” (two fine and very different films) — but he marshals this world with confidence and flair. The action sequences are insanely fun.

Black Panther might be the first MCU film that could claim to most clearly be an expression of a particular director’s voice.

Like Taika Waititi before him, Ryan Coogler gives the Marvel template a bold auteurist twist with an African extravaganza that packs a muscular intensity and challenges as much as it exhilarates.

Whatever its cultural significance, it’s just passable entertainment, a noble attempt at waxing mythical that never, for one second, delivers that out-of-body giddiness that makes popcorn pictures of its ilk burst to life.

Black panther is genuinely amazing, I feel like it’s one of the best films in the entirety of the MCU.

Pretty good movie. I gave it a 6 because the black panter didn't really do much action in this movie.

Even Ant Man looked more interesting
A very overrated movie
There is nothing innovative
Bad special effects at the end were very noticeable

The movie is and was wayyyyyyy overhyped then it should've been. The CGI was bad, the story was uninteresting, etc. This movie is way overrated.
