The best of this is Yorke’s music, which is fierce and propulsive. But, as visual spectacle, there is a strong so-what? factor.

I got Summer time sadness and I caught it from Radiohead. 'ANIMA' is a spiritual day dream in darkness and into the light. Every shot is a treat to the eyes, especially with the music soothing in the background. Of course the incredible choreography by Damien Jalet is staggering and captivating. Paul Thomas Anderson and Thom Yorke, I love you guys.

I found this thing to very visually engaging. Very different and bold, especially compared to most music videos. Its a great fit for director and performer.

Standout choreography and the feel of guerilla filmmaking elevate this extended music video above the normal fare. Auteur!

Could have fininshed it in 5 minutes, but PTA decided to bore us to hell with it.

Maybe I just didn't get it but the imagery felt like tired examples of anti-conformity.

A Lingering Gaze in a Tedious Dream190909 (2.0)Even during a day of intense ups and downs, what continues to captivate me is that brief, fleeting look in the eyes. The film clearly aimed for a dreamy, ethereal atmosphere, but despite claiming love as its central theme, the portrayal of that love felt incredibly ordinary and sleep-inducing. The narrative lacked the emotional depth needed to sustain its ambitious tone, making the romantic elements feel mundane rather than magical. However, the wall-climbing choreography was a standout moment, offering a burst of creative energy that temporarily broke through the boredom. It’s a pity that the core story couldn’t match the visual intrigue of its dance sequences, leaving behind only the memory of a sharp glance amidst an otherwise drowsy cinematic experience.

I like Radio Head and Thom Yorke but this short movie irked me to no end. In this fifteen minute short we get a to see a kind of arty love affair between Yorke, fifty years old, and the actrice Dajana Roncione, thirty-five. Not only is this movie something that might be just enough to get your bachelors at the art academy(not in the least helped by the professionals employed) but trust them to pick a woman who is fifteen years younger then he is. I bet if she was five years older she would have not made it into that movie. Sorry Charlize, forty-three is just too old. .. .. But I guess it was the **** dream of a man past his prime caught in a dull life dreaming to get away from it all. And what man of fifty would dream of woman of his own age?!. .. .. Now it would have been really pushing things if Yorke had been substituted for unknown actrice of fifty dreaming **** of thirty five(or a man). I guess the ratings would have been halved. .. .. Then again, it still would be barely enough to get you a bachelor's as an art movie, because this is Art according to Netflix. Damien Jalet is the choreographer and he just stuck to the middle of the road. I mean, did he phone this in? If you want to see how dull this movie is, look up A Delicate Battle by Matjash Mrozewski(A clip with the music of Rainbow Arabia is still on u tube). Or go and visit your local ballet, no doubt about anyone does better than this. I no doubt trust that Jalet can do much better, but come on. .. .. Art is specifically that area where you avoid the beaten path. And the beaten path is what we get. It is like eating flour, if you use it to make a good meal, even a dull tasting product can be made into something tasteful, but in this case, the cook served it as it is. (my excuses for the .., but these seem to be the only way that I found to make sure the breaks are where I want them to be.)
