Underhero
The title UnderHero gives a hint about what the game is about, but it also shows the game's rather unassuming nature. With its exploration-heavy gameplay, creative combats and a plot that gets completely flipped upside down early on, Underhero grows to be a marvel of an experience that only gets the player more and more interested right around the same time as other games start losing their interest.
Despite minor flaws with presentation and control, UnderHero proves itself to be a rewarding experience that frequently surprises with its ingenuity and writing. This isn’t exactly a ‘go out and buy it now’ kind of gam, but if you like the sound of it, you likely won’t be disappointed by the content on offer here. It's not perfect, but a well-paced story, engaging combat system, and beautiful world make UnderHero a game that rarely disappoints, and we’d recommend it to anybody looking for a good ‘deep cut’ for their Switch library.
UnderHero is a hidden gem of a game with a brilliant soundtrack, a great cast of characters, and an engaging combat system. However, the game is dragged down slightly due to issues in the game's pacing. Its humour is consistently witty, and its story often emotional and inspired. It is a must-play game for anyone who wants a game similar to the early Paper Mario titles.

Absolute hidden gem. If you were a fan of Super Paper Mario and turn based RPGs, this is the one for you. Bosses are great, worlds are decent and the music is awesome.

Charming and funny, but I'm (I think) halfway through rn and the fights are reeeeaaaally starting to drag. The combat system was interesting at first but really, it just makes every encounter take forever because the speed at which your stamina recovers is glacial.

I freaking love underhero, i found this game a while ago and i fell in love. Sure it has some flaws but there are in my opinion more pro 's then con's. Please consider buying it because it's a masterpiece. (I apologize for some bad grammar English is not my first language )

Underhero creatively weaves platforming, turn and timing-based combat, and adventure elements into a gorgeous and inspired experience. Even though it relies a little too much on circuitous paths and the slingshot weapon is frustrating to aim, it’s hard not to smile the entire time you’re playing Underhero. It’s another in the long list of amazing, must-play indie titles that every Switch owner needs to take a long look at. If nothing else, who hasn’t wanted to peak behind the curtain at the everyday machinations of an evil overlord and his scores of minions?

Overrated, unresponsive and for the most part a boring game, which does have bright spots (dialogues and the art style), but overall is a regrettable purchase.

SummaryUnderhero is a 2D side-scroller RPG adventure game with timing-based combat, so no turns! Inspired by Paper Mario and other RPGs, it tells the story of a world where the chosen hero has failed and an underling of the main villain takes his place as the new hero.
