The Crew can be enjoyable for some casual cross-country joy rides, especially if you have some friends to drive along. However, it comes up entirely short of most of its goals, and makes a wreck of car handling and competition for the sake of lackluster MMO mechanics.

While moments of genuine beauty exist, they occur in the context of a game that otherwise simply cannot compete with its contemporaries when it comes to visual presentation - a symptom, perhaps, of the seven-year development cycle. [Feb 2015, p.104]

An ambitious hybrid of racing and role-playing that fails to deliver a meaningful story or make the most of its extraordinary setting. [Feb 2015, p.85]

this had its ups and downs but it is really good game for anyone who wants to play a standard racing game with their mates and also helped them out in their story mode as well

The plot of the game is quite simple (it all takes place on board vehicles and it is always about races) but we must reward the plot that has been built around the gameplay (a driving game) that makes the game interesting also from the point of view of the story. The setting in the USA makes the trips unique

Short review: A good game that got killed by a greedy company Long review:
This game was one of the last great and innovative racing game. The scaled down USA is easily the best map in an open world racing game. The game did have crappy graphics at launch. Wild Run saved the graphics thankfully. Pursuit was good aside from the crappy busting system. Calling All Units made the pursuit system better. Story was fine. Physics were pretty bad. Overalll 8/10. The only good crew game... if it was up. Unfortunately, The Crew 1 had an always online drm and it caused some controversy at launch. The controversy really began when it was announced The Crew 1 would be shutting down with no offline patch, effectively forcing The Crew 1 fans to play the objectively worse The Crew 2 and Motorfest. The Crew Unlimited is working on reviving The Crew 1 but Ubisoft still remains unharmed for effectively stealing people's copies of The Crew 1. RIP The Crew 1. You will be missed.

The Crew does a lot of things right. Not only does it give you a huge game world to explore, but the ability to change up the whole experience by tuning your car differently is an excellent addition to Ivory Tower’s ambitious racer, allowing you to take one car and do so much more than just a mere race. Apart from the microtransactions you cannot go wrong here by jumping behind the dashboard of your favourite car and taking off into the sunset across the desert.

The Crew isn’t a revolutionary MMO, nor is it a revolutionary racer. It is however a fun racing game that happens to be in a persistent online world and has a ton of replayability. Simulation fans won’t necessarily love it (cars magically heal as you drive, for Pete's sake), but fans of Need for Speed, Test Drive Unlimited, and so forth will find a lot to like. Ubisoft claims they have big plans for the game’s future, and even more for additional entries down the line, and I’ll be watching. Ditch the lame story, work in more customization and more exciting races, and The Crew is solid roadwork for what could be a fantastic MMO ride.

The Crew is a vast, expansive driving game that packs a solid story mode and tons of things to do. However, much of its endgame content feels like repetitive filler.

It may have the prospects to become a great MMO racer, but at the moment The Crew is not able to deliver ever a fragment of what Reflections promised it would offer with this racer.

Somewhere buried in The Crew, beneath the bloated content and the MMO shenanigans, is a competent racer featuring the perfect road trip. But for a game whose primary strength is freedom, there should have been more objectives and more incentives to explore its world with friends, instead of copy-and-pasted skill challenges and missions tangled in a confounding plot that's hard to forget for all the wrong reasons.

From incredibly frustrating and punishing missions to overly perfect and maddening AI, this game pales in comparison to other offerings like Forza Horizon 2 on the market.

Such is the slow death of The Crew, a foundation of a serviceable racer, weighted down with the worst tendencies of AAA "added value" game design. There's a good game buried alive inside it, and when they finally plant the headstone, the cause of death will be chiseled as "trying too hard."

Este jogo é incrível! Eu recebi e ainda não posso parar de jogar. Os gráficos são tão detalhadas para um game e é desafiador, mas divertido e terá que jogar por horas! A história é complexa e profundamente pensado. O melhor jogo que eu já joguei de forma

I always liked Test Drive Unlimited and The Crew gave me that vibe. It was pure fun. Game has huge map, a lot of cars and different missions and tasks. Soundtrack is decent and overall game looks good, especially with changing weather conditions. Putting a story in this kind of game is a hit or miss, and it falls flat a bit.

Divertido, mundo aberto imenso, um bom jogo de corrida. História medíocre e mundo aberto é grande mas é vazio, falta conteúdo.

The Crew is a completely passing game. It's a mediocre racing video game. A typical game from Ubisoft is a huge empty open world with nothing to do. And in general, the idea is excellent, the implementation is terrible. The Crew doesn't have the most important thing in the game of this genre - it's terribly boring to drive. Terrible physics, cars are irons on wheels. I'm not even sure where she's worse at The Crew or Need for Speed. Also, with optimization, the game has obvious problems, I understand that the game was released only at the beginning of the PS4 life path, but such long downloads are not forgivable. Also graphically, the game is disappointing, smoothing and shadows in the game seem to be absent. A passing game that is not worth wasting time on
