Tetris Splash

It's not innovative or surprising in any way, but the graphics and gameplay are enjoyable and the multiplayer is a fun option.

Tetris is Tetris. Nothing new, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If updated graphics and a unique aquarium screensaver are enough to make you spend ten bucks, then by all means, go for it.

While the formula may never grow old, purchasing its incarnations is becoming rather trivial.

Tetris Splash doesn’t bring anything exciting or more enjoyable to the table of Tetris. Unless you’re feeling extremely nostalgic or wanting to add an additional 200 achievement points to your gamer score, I suggest you pass this one by.

Tetris Splash is an obvious attempt at wrapping nickel and dime distribution with a safe and nostalgic piece of gaming history. Don't be fooled, this game is not worth 800 Microsoft Points.

Online play is the only redeemable feature of this 'update.' Get "Puzzle Quest" instead. That got three stars. [Christmas 2007, p.98]

Tetris Splash gets one point for being Tetris, one point for at least having an online mode and one point for being relatively cheap (assuming you don't bother with the DLC). But it loses points for ugly background graphics, the obligatory ghost block, the bad pacing, the expensive add-ons, the limited multiplayer options and having no sharks.
