Telltale Games has done really well with this new chapter of the adventures of Guybrush. This third chapter is great, full of fun moments and intelligent puzzles. Even more, at last we see the comeback of one of the most charming characters of the series, Murray.

Those who have played the first two games in the franchise and want to keep going to see how it all ends will find Tales of Monkey Island: Lair of the Leviathan to be a minor diversion in an otherwise great series.

Lair of the Leviathan is extremely short and not quite up to par in terms of difficulty, but its a generally solid continuation to the episodic series.

"Lair of the Leviathan" starts up slow but then turns out to be an absolute blast to play, frenetic but never too fast, amazing humor and characters (both new and returning), great and original puzzles. This chapter is what truly elevated the Tales series to the standard of the original games.

my score is here also a 10 because this chapter is different to 1 and 2 but its do also a lot of fun. i love this game and hope you will have also much fun to play it. enjoy

"Lair of the Leviathan" is the best chapter yet, and it thrills me for the future of the series. Halfway through, Telltale has proven that they know what they're doing. Bring on the next!

Lazy find-three-item quests are nowhere to be seen in this episode, instead there's a wealth of context-based conundrums and mini-games that showcase LucasArts-style adventure design at its best. [Dec 2009, p.128]

Those who have been trying to decide whether or not to get into this game can know it feels like a Monkey Island title and if you've played the previous ones before these new chapters, you'll be able to capture that same feeling again.

Stomach of the giant sea pig is the great place for a hilarious adventure. Telltale Games can give lessons to others on how to make flawless dialogues, novel environments and amusing adventure games overall. [Nov 2009]

If you have been following the Tales of Monkey Island saga up to this point, Lair of the Leviathan offers a few more hours of swashbuckling adventure and knee-slapping comedy that is sure to tickle your fancy.

Too much of the game may be spent back-and-forthing between two locations, but the pace eventually picks up. This combined with the re-appearance of Murray make this episode worth checking out for Monkey Island fans.

SummaryIn the third Tales of Monkey Island chapter, Guybrush gets in deep (literally!) as his quest for the voodoo exfoliating La Esponja Grande takes a scenic twist -- through the guts of a giant manatee! Trapped in the belly of the beast, our hero encounters a surprising band of castaways, including the long-lost (and obsessive-compulsive) ex... Read More
