Suffers tremendously because of the control issues. Without the sniper rifle peripheral that made the arcade game a joy, Silent Scope is only a game that entertains in a brief, arcade-y way.

You can beat it and explore all that it has to offer in a couple of hours, but it's still a fun game.

The absence of the sniper rifle peripheral, which made the arcade game exceptional, sucks the life out of this title.

As a fan of the arcade version I was curious how the console port would be. While not as great holding a pretend rifle the aiming felt alright with a controller. The game is short and sweet with branching paths and cheat codes to use. It did get a big overwhelming later in the stages but it was still fun to finish. After beating it I decided to try the GBA port as well and you know what, it was really cool. Seeing this game as a demake actually works really well and plays great. It is weird playing it on a smaller screen but the experience is almost the same.

Ok i know that this game is funnn, but is a realy bad version from the arcade game, playit in the ps2 is borring , but the arcade version is perfect, i thinck that is a good game, but it could be better.

A brief affair, a perfectly formed kinetic buzz. And, a long time after you've finished with it, you'll still hear the sounds. Repeat after us: Click. Thud. Buchhhhaaaaa.

This is a good solid game, but nothing truly spectacular. It is a fun shooter, with a twist. That sniper scope adds a new dimension to the shooter genre.

A great arcade game that doesn''t quite hit the target.

Not all arcade games work successfully when ported to a console; this is sadly no exception.
50
It's a gun game without a gun, and there's really no way to get past that one glaring omission.
42
The absence of the sniper rifle peripheral, which made the arcade game exceptional, sucks the life out of this title.

The translation is nearly arcade perfect. The only thing missing is a full-sized sniper rifle, which ends up making a big difference.
