From the top-notch characterizations to the ethical indecision of its cast, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a significant step forward for the series's maestro.

This game is insanely deep...a masterpiece. Not only is it in the running for the title of greatest game ever on the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the greatest games in the entire Metal Gear franchise.
Peace Walker's one of the best games for PSP that we've tried this year, probably the best MGS that Kojima's made so far for a handheld platform. It tells the story of Big Boss, ten years later after the incidents with his mentor, which he killed in an epic battle. Now, with the aggravation of a war conflict between the CIA and the KGB, he listens her voice again on a cassette tape, and thus accepting the mission of aiding Paz Andrade and friends. Co-Op options, new Mother Base implementation... Peace Walker aims to the top of PSP catalog, and makes it even further.

For a Metal Gear game, it's just okay. I still like it more than MGSV, but not by much.

**Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker** delivers a compelling continuation of the story, strengthening the bond between Boss and Snake and really pulling you into the narrative. The gameplay, like previous entries, focuses heavily on stealth, but it also cleverly integrates small playable segments into cutscenes, keeping you engaged instead of just watching long cinematic sequences. I really enjoyed the story of *Peace Walker*—it kept me hyped and excited for the next chapter.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a strange entry in the Metal Gear series. Make no mistake, despite being a portable spin-off, this is a full-fledge Metal Gear game, and serves to bridge the gap between MGS3 and MGS5. Its story is serviceable, and the scale of its game design is certainly impressive for a portable system, though it is held back by limited and frustrating controls. The lack of a second analog stick, or even the ability to crawl, makes for gameplay that can at times be more frustrating than fun. Still, Peace Walker gets by with what it does well, and its new core gameplay elements would be fully realized in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

For all of those who were doubting it, rest assured: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker is very much a true MGS... but most importantly a true game! The saga's DNA is everywhere in this title, and it's been expanded so much, that this adventure gets a distinctive taste of its own. Less interactive movie, and more game than ever, there are so many modes, bonuses, and other elements to unlock as you play that it's almost unbelievable. The Monster Hunter's influence is clear, and it's a blessing for Kojima's game. To the point that between the management of your Mother Base, your equipment, and your troops, the game even becomes addictive for other things than its solo campaign. No doubt, this is a major episode in the series, for its overwhelming content, its level of quality, and the power of its story. And the platform it has been released on as well : a strong signal sent to the industry, that portable devices are becoming more and more important, from Japan to our part of the world.

It's more than good enough to call Peace Walker a genuine Metal Gear Solid 5. There's almost too much game here - there's no bigger game on PSP and no more varied game in the entire Metal Gear series. It's a technical showcase, sure, but Peace Walker is also a creative showcase that proves that nobody on Earth makes games like Hideo Kojima - because nobody else ever could.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker delivers the classic gameplay of the MGS series, love it or hate it, but the experience on PSP becomes even more cumbersome due to the lack of a second analog stick. It's a "hardcore game", no doubt about it, but all the Snake fans out there shouldn't miss it.

It's not just an incredible PSP Metal Gear – it's an incredible Metal Gear and an unexpected leap forward for the series.

Despite the fact that Hideo Kojima was directly involved in the game's development, Peace Walker doesn't feel like a fully realized chapter in the saga – but it still completes the mission.

Horrendous difficulty spikes aside, Peace Walker is great. It has all the blisteringly beautiful visuals, impressive production values and rewarding stealth gameplay you expect from a Metal Gear game.

Between all the "mgs3 type of gameplay" games in this franchice, this was the one that clicked for me the variety of things you can do is really fun like the cqc, holdups, walkman, magazines, etc. The gameplay is just so addicting; the main ops, building your motherbase, and the score system. The missions that require you to play the game in a certain way make it so fresh that the not so remarkable story doesnt matter. If you take your time not just to rush the story, but to dig deep in this game, you will find not just the best game on the psp, but one of the best games ever made.

Maybe it is because I played it in 2024 in a simulator. Bur I found it kind of boring.

a good concept with clear design , metal gear peace walker starts well , tank battle is way to hard for a psp game that would a lot skill to complete , good render and visuals , and good design overall , not the best Metal gear solid by far less humour , less weapons , and poor layout of weapons , its a game with many mistakes with success of metal gear brand , weapon layout , tank battles with 1 human and 1 tank is unrealistic , where limited weapons ,
