Going beyond a mere “clone”, LEGO Party! is a great collection of minigames. It makes very good use of the building blocks brand, offering characters and scenarios full of charisma and variation. The same goes for the ambiance, which uses a talk show to bring a lot of good humor to the game. With fun games, especially to enjoy with friends, and great potential, this is a great choice for your gaming library.

Para quem gosta de Mario Party, não tem como não gostar desse jogo, a vibe é idêntica. Tem muitos minigames bem diferentes uns dos outros e todos muito bem feitos. Não testei o online, só o multiplayer local com 4 jogadores e 2 jogadores + 2 bots.

Such a well thought out, genuinely fun game that really is great for all ages. And - you can really build everything you can see out of actual Lego? Fabulous

Ultimately, LEGO Party has a lot going for it. It was never going to be the superior party game, Nintendo and its red plumber have thrown far too many epic shindigs to be overtaken in that regard, but what LEGO Party offers is an alternative with a different aesthetic and overall vibe, as well as one playable on all platforms, not just Nintendo ones.

LEGO Party is a worthy contender to Mario Party; you’ll need to decide if its strengths and weaknesses appeal to you. With noticeable framerate drops during fly-throughs, even on PS5 Pro, I’m also a bit concerned about how this will actually play on a Switch.

With bite-sized gameplay, bright and colourful characters, and a lot of imagination in gameplay, Lego Party! is a game that won’t necessarily surprise adults, but will provide a welcome party experience, and one that’ll absolutely delight younger kids. Even being outside the target audience, I can see the fun, and how it lit up the eyes of my niece, with clever choices elevating this significantly.
