A good, solid, first up Sci-Fi adventure game that shows that Razbor Studios have a lot of potential and I hope that they create more games. I also hope that we may see Ren again in a sequel sometime soon.

Legacy is sloppy and silly, it doesn’t try to tell a coherent story or develop its characters, and its puzzles aren’t even close to being entertaining enough to make up for the rest of the deficiencies.

It is specifically, in my humble opinion, for adventure purists who have patience to sit through bad NPC dialogue because the main character is endearing and in a bit of a jam.

My advice: Set aside a larger budget for voice acting, and make sure the environments are as interactive toward the end as they are in the beginning. For players, don't expect a classic, because you won't find this game fulfilling that need. But as long as you set your expectations a bit lower, you should be entertained.

Gameplay is linear, but refreshing in its use of locales and inventory. It is on the easy side so there is little frustration in playing.

The game installs completely to your hard drive so there is no need to put a CD in once the game is installed, I wish more games did this.

Legacy: Dark Shadows just isn’t fun. It tries so hard to mimic great adventure games like that of The Longest Journey but, sadly, only does so graphically which isn’t a good thing.

The content isn't even worth a laugh, and the story is so full of holes (is this based on a Croatian comic or show? It seems to expect you to know the cast in advance) and clichés that it has no value unless you're a die-hard fan of Eastern European culture.

If you loved the immersive game play of titles like "Syberia" or "The Longest Journey"... go play those games again, and don’t waste your time with this weak B-grade stinker.

A truly spectacular failure. Long may it live in infamy. [May 2005, p.105]
