High on Life 2
An improvement over its predecessor in nearly every way. Still a colorful, vulgar, and talkative sci-fi hallucination, but now built around a genuinely strong shooter with good pacing, ideas, and fun movement enhanced by a skateboard. Despite overly long dialogue sequences and humor that may not appeal to everyone, it remains an entertaining experience throughout its roughly fourteen-hour runtime.
High on Life 2 delivers a chaotic, brilliant script with sharp, adult humor, perfect for fans of Rick and Morty. The constant, sarcastic dialogue from the talking weapons is a highlight, driving a compelling narrative about saving humanity. However, the gameplay suffers from significant inconsistencies, including repetitive combat and frustrating bugs, even after early updates. The new skate mechanics add dynamism but can feel overwhelming. Performance issues, with noticeable frame drops on a high-end PC, detract from the experience.

As it stands, High On Life 2 makes a good case for throwing the baby out with the bathwater, then bleaching the tub. [Issue#422, p.114]

Fun better then the first and they included my boi knifey more. The skateboarding mechanics and gunplay was well done loved the new talking guns. Loved all the jokes and the 4th wall jokes etc tho this game didn't hold my interest like this was gonna be peak gaming. The game was okay just okay and nothing wrong with okay I still enjoyed the game

Fun gunplay and genuinely funny humour held back by truly awful first person platforming and obnoxious puzzles. Overall a good game and hopefully squanch learns from their mistakes and makes more going forward.

High on Life 2 accomplishes an incredibly rare feat, as it's a sequel that improves every single aspect of the original while forging its own unique path. The addition of the skateboard is a game changer, and the majestic insanity that you can concoct is just oodles of fun. Squanch Games had a lot of work to do in order to both distance itself from its creator and ensure the foundation was solid, which they did in spades. High on Life 2's absurd story, impeccable combat and beautiful world are just a few reasons to explore this sinfully funny shooter.

High On Life 2 is a better-executed version of the first game. The skateboard does add some extra flavor to the gameplay, but it ultimately still is very similar to the core concept of the first game.

Me parece mejor que la primera entrega y la implementación del patinete para añadir movilidad es buena

It's a very beautiful game, and for me, it was better than the previous installment that I played and enjoyed very much.

Despite my worries, High on Life 2 exceeded my expectations for the sequel to one of the weirdest, most enjoyable first-person shooters I have played. With an entertaining story, engaging fast-paced combat, and a gorgeous world, this becomes a uniquely creative experience worth playing through.

High on Life 2 delivers a more refined, witty humor and exhilarating skateboard mechanics, forging a uniquely entertaining experience. However, its combat remains simplistic and uninspired, with persistent performance issues, including frustrating bugs and framerate drops, unfortunately marring an otherwise imaginative artistic vision.

High On Life 2 goes for more action and snappier movement while keeping its absurd humor and irreverent identity, even if it doesn’t fully recapture the original’s fresh impact. The addition of skating and new abilities brings real depth to both combat and exploration, while its straightforward, continuing story does the job without taking many risks. Fun and true to its core, though it can feel a bit repetitive.

A fun but flawed sequel that doubles down on the first game's quirky humor and inventive gunplay while adding new movement mechanics and environmental puzzles. However, technical issues and a core conflict between comedy and momentum hold it back from greatness. Best experienced on sale after patches.

Great experience, probably one of the most underestimated game I played in a while. It's really fun to play, the mix of skateboard and shooter works really well. A tones of good ideas all along the game. Writing is awsome, made me laught a lot. For such a small team that made that game, it's impressive what they acheived. it's better than most AAA I played recently. Don't get the review bombing, people really need to chill out, they fixed the game actually really fast and personnaly I didn't had any bugs all along. I would encourage anyone to play that game, it's a lot of fun.

I found the story, environment, jokes, & NPCs in general overall better/more interesting in the 1st game. But the guns & skateboarding in 2 make this the more "fun" one to play gameplay wise. Keep in mind a lot of the review bombing is due to the insane number of bugs & glitches when the game first came out, it's not because it's a bad game & they were working fast to patch all of the issues.
