Its strategy and story mixed in with the action make it a fantastic gaming experience.

Pilar fundamental de la historia de los videojuegos que construyó el concepto de juego local. Sus triunfos son históricos.

Peak the best fps I've ever played. I don't like a lot of fps but when I play GoldenEye I have so much fun. The multiplayer is peak the single player campaign is also a blast. One of my friends said it's a rip-off of cod it's older by like 5 years. I would highly recommend. The controls are the best on the N64.

So if you appreciate ingenuity, realistic settings, loads of cool weapons, and some of the best artificial intelligence ever witnessed in a first-person shooter, let alone a console shooter, GoldenEye 007 is an essential addition to your N64 game library.

Play GoldenEye one time and you’ll be jonesin’ for James harder than Grace Jones on a lonely night. It’s one of the best movie-to-game translations ever.

GoldenEye 007: An Iconic Classic Still one of the best FPS games I’ve ever played, GoldenEye 007 revolutionized console shooters with its innovative gameplay, memorable missions, and one of the first games to feature advanced enemy AI. Its impact set the standard for first-person shooters on the N64 and remains a timeless gaming experience I treasure to this day.

This is without a doubt one of the best games ever made. Every true gamer should own this game, Goldeneye is an absolute must. Personally I don’t think I will ever stop playing this game, I love it.

Goldeneye is even better than "Mario 64." Even Oddjob could figure out what that means! A Nintendo 64 without Goldeneye is like James Bond without a vodka martini.

A pure classic if I've ever seen one. It is infectious fun with superb depth. This is a must buy that will keep you interested for months on end.

Overall, GoldenEye, while being a good corridor shooter, is a corridor shooter, nonetheless. I have no problem with Nintendo releasing quality games, but I think it's time they expand the horizons of the system a little.

GoldenEye 007, while rightfully hailed as one of the greatest and most influential games of all time, was a nightmare to pick up and play in the modern age. While you can point out to over-tutorialization and a bunch of trackers as a bad thing in the modern AAA landscape, the utter lack of it in GoldenEye makes the game feel quite frustrating. The control scheme is primitive and finnicky, and even though it is understandable given they had to work with the N64 controller, the downside is that it utilized the N64 controller. The common defense for this control scheme is that it's different than dual-stick FPS games, and it feels fresh, but that's an argument I would give to the DOOM games, which are a bit older and still control better while still differentiating themselves from shooters of today. GoldenEye 007's control scheme just isn't that intuitive. For all its agedness, however, there is still clearly a great concept underneath it, with a wealth of incredibly fun missions and environmental design, but its janky graphics and controls make it a hard sell to somebody that didn't grow up in the 64 era.

This game is a classic, this game is a big reason that first person shooters are the way they are, but man does this game not hold up well in its current state.Thats coming from someone who has tryed playing it on Xbox, Switch, and N64.
I think the game behind it, is actually really great. It's environments are well made and make it easy to see enemies, the missions can be funny and quirky to play, and even by todays standerds the shooting and action isn't that bad.
But the problem is that It's still not great in it's current state. I feel if they added more control options like mouse and keyboard, and fixed the switch version so you don't have to use button mapping. And added more quality of life improvements like Save States in more versions than the switch version it would be better. A true classic, an innovation of game design, but needs some work from modern developers

Let's all take of the nostalgia goggles for a minute here and give this game a fair analysis. I'm willing to say that there's a lot about this game that is really good. Almost everything, to be exact. Almost. So why is this game bad? One reason. The controls. The controls are so god awful, that they make the game pretty much unplayable. The N64 controller was not meant to play shooters. If you want to play this game in all it's glory, download the keyboard and mouse patch for it. Then you'll probably be able to play it the way all the nostalgia-blind people remember it.
