Eclipsium
It’s a fascinatingly disturbing game, but – yes – in that Lynchian/Cronenbergian way where if someone asked you to pin down exactly what it was that was making you feel so squirly you’d have trouble beyond, “HE RIPPED OUT HIS OWN HEART!” And, you know, fair play, that’s possibly a good reason too.
Eclipsium is an intriguing horror game that relies on surreal and horror imagery to convey a story open to the player's interpretation. This abstract form of storytelling may not be for everyone, but if it piques your curiosity, it might be worth picking up.
Eclipsium is an unsettling and introspective indie thriller from developer Housefire and publisher Critical Reflex that blends slow-paced exploration with psychological tension. Instead of traditional scares, it builds dread through atmosphere, abstract storytelling, and a haunting pixelated world. The game challenges players to persist through cryptic environments and moments of sacrifice, offering a deeply personal experience that lingers beyond the ending. While its mechanics are minimal and pacing deliberate, Eclipsium succeeds as an experimental journey into discomfort and emotional weight.

Best looking Game i've seen ever. People saying its a boring walking simulator and its not true. They're lying because of how good the game is.

A really trippy, visually stunning game. The atmosphere and puzzles are really inventive and immersive. I really enjoyed my time with it, but it was a bit shorter than I would have preferred.

Un juego muy bueno, con una ambientación de pesadilla-lovecraftiana absolutamente lograda. Si la historia hubiese estado un poco más desarrollada (y no dejada a la interpretación del jugador), hubiera sido un 9 o puede que incluso un 10.

Endless Mode
While at its best, Eclipsium is dream logic in playable form, its high points are dragged down by lackluster puzzles and some far less interesting treks through dry landscapes. In the end, it’s the kind of game that will probably play best in short clips on social media, where its eye-catching art style and occasional clever turns will more or less have the same power they do in the context. Instead of coming across as consistently evocative, the game’s terseness can make it feel like it doesn’t have a great deal to say.

The Escapist
If you’re a fan of Lovecraftian horror and walking simulators, Eclipsium will be a delight for you to explore. It’s gross and gorgeous, with a subtle narrative, interesting premise, and heavily stylized world. While the art style may prove divisive, the experience as a whole is mesmerizing, adding a fresh spin on a classic horror walking simulator.
